Review: amazing - My daughters loved these stories. Great for Filipinos and all who love great writing. Great buy donโt hesitate to get it. Review: Fun journey to another land's tales - A dozen stories, each one long enough to read for bedtime, featuring the Filipino take on timeless tales took us deeper into their background. Others are unique to the Philippines and refreshing after so many repeats elsewhere of the Brothers Grimm.

Wonderful illustrations and retelling of classic tales
I bought this book for my cousin's daughter (who is half Filipino). The main reason I bought this gift was 1) I wanted to buy her a book and 2) I couldn't be sure if she already owned or would receive the same Dr. Seuss and Little Golden books everyone else tends to buy. This was a great choice, I didn't read through the book but I saw some stories I had heard before. Since she is sure to grow up hearing stories about Cinderella, etc. I hope she will also treasure these as part of her heritage as she grows up and when she is older.

not bad at all, but i was expecting the old school stories
i do not know if the stories those during 90's because most of this stories i havent really heard or read before. i remember having a book from school with those famous Filpino stories such as "Maria Makiling, Si malakas at Maganda, Alamat ng Pina, Florante at Laura etc... I assume this are new stories created in 2000... i was expecting the old stories from childhood, however it still not bad.
