I am a home health occupational therapist and have to check my patient's temperature every time I make a visit. The company I work for provides the traditional ones that goes into the mouth (plastic sleeves are put on them). Some of my other co-workers bought their own forehead thermometers. The ones they use look like guns (to me). I never liked the idea of pointing something that looks like a gun at someone. When I came across this one I felt that it would be perfect. Most of my patients say it looks like a remote, and it does, lol. When it arrived I was impressed with it's sleek design. It was easy to use and has a fast response time. I like that it has an automatic turn off feature. I get a lot of questions about it. The company that I work for hired an assistant for me (called a COTA) and when she saw mine, she ordered one on the spot. Came with batteries, easy to use, accurate when compared to traditional under tongue thermometers we've used before. The Lo indicator will come on if you aren't close enough, and it doesn't work outside as it seemed to read some ambient temp (it was 100 degrees outside) when I was outside checking folks before they came in for a small gathering. Recommended instruction: press power on and wait for dashed lines to appear, hold approx. 2" from dry forehead, press button and release (don't hold the button or it will turn off). Will hear beep within 1-2 seconds with temperature. I was a little worried it wouldn't be easy to read, but it's perfectly clear and bright.

Easy to use=1 button. Accurate and very quick results. The readout is bright and clear (little blurry in my pic). Ads geared toward babies/children; however, I bought this more for adults but will use for everybody. The no touch is a must in order to check temps when the person is sleeping so as not to disturb them. As a nurse, RN, I know cheap medical devices and this is a thermometer that I would trust for professional use. The price is unbeatable And I got mine during Prime Days! What a steal! My only wish is that it came with a case to protect it from scratches and such. But am I satisfied with this purchase? YES, 110% !

Not the most accurate thermometer but better than not using one. Typically, it doesn’t detect a fever unless it’s above 100. I had 2 of these thermometers and they went into Celsius mode or showed everyone’s temperatures was hypothermic after 2 years of gentle use at home.
