Don't overcomplicated the building of these cables, and you'll love them!
I read others reviews on here on how to construct these cables and how finicky and difficult they were to put together - and at first I thought that was true, then I realized that I was making this way too hard, as I suspect others are as well. The instructions talk about removing some of the outer cable jacket, and exposing the shielding or folding it back, and people were talking about how sensitive the cable was to doing that just the right amount. I tried building a cable this way several times, and it just would not work. Well, lo and behold, you don't need to do any of that! Here is all you need to do - cut the cable to length nice and clean - just cut it - don't remove any of the outer housing, or expose the shielding or anything - just cut the cable to length, and give it a little roll between your fingers to make sure it's nice and round, and then insert it into one of the plugs. Just give it a firm but gentle push - there is a little spike inside the plug that will seat into the cable - and that is it! Insert it, make sure it's secure, bend it down and put the cap and screw on, and you're good to go! It's really incredibly easy and I built all of my cables quickly and without fail each and every time with this method. These are really great and easy to assemble cables once you realize you don't need to overcomplicate things! The great price and quality of these cables make them a true no-brainer.

Great connectors... BAD CABLE succeptible to RFI etc etc
The connectors are great. Easy to assemble.Despite what others say, even though this is supposed to be an angled connector, you can run it straight too! Just don't put the cap on but screw it anyway. In fact, then it becomes almost identical to the 3 Monkeys overpriced stuff, escot you have to use a screw rather than twisting it in.HOWEVER... AND IT IS A BIG ONE!The cae itself I'd absolutely terrible. It is very poorly shielded and suffers much higher succeptability to RFI and even digital sounding interference compare to standard, middle of the road, shielded cable. I tested it against Fender and Sam Ash (the ones in the store's buckets) and interference was much higher. I even rebuilt the cable a couple times to make sure. I tested this with gain pretty high. It's not a power supply issue as this could be duplicated over and over in recorded tests. Also, this was only plugged between two pedal, only one of which was powered and used as a boost to exaggerate the gain for the test and the other unpowered one in true bypass. I was also plugged into a $1500 SURGEX power conditioner on its own outlet. The noise was repeatable with multiple cable builds, while the others were silent in that department. If you have this cable, try it for yourself! Crank the gain.. And then compare it to decent, thicker cable that is properly shielded.I have to give this 3 stars for this reason. I rate the connectors 4.8 stars, but the cable 1 star.I would love to buy these connectors either with better cable or separately, if a better cable will fit the connectors.

Unbelievable for the price (and super easy to assemble)
So for starters - Im a huge patch cable snob. I solder my own with pancake heads - heat shrink the part going into the head for flex protection - the whole 9.The other piece worth noting is that I have generally not liked solder-less kits in the past.I recently wired my board up to be stereo from the Wet effects through my Helix Stomp and out to front of house. When I went to do this I realized that my pancake plugs wouldnt fit next to eachother on the back of one of my delays to run in stereo.I happened to run into these here on amazon and after reading some of the reviews (i will say they are mixed) - decided to give it a shot. (I bought the black cap version) Here's the bullet points on these guys.- They are mind blowingly easy to put together - cut the cable nice and flat, shove it really hard up into the connector and the screw the cap on.-They sound great! - just as good as regular patch cables i've put together. No added noise or anything,Don't listen the bad reviews, these are solid cables, and are AMAZING for the price
