I was tired of my 6 year old media center (older Ryzen board) not able to upgrade to the current windows version, so it was time to upgrade. New CPU, new board, and new RAM and I was set. This arrived quickly (overnight) and worked out of the gate. Only thing I had to do was to adjust the memory speed on the system board to get it to the correct speed rather than the default. No issues, no hiccups at all with the OS, so it seems to be stable and solid.

Easy to enable xmp and get full speeds. Fast and great to use as a stand alone kit or if you are upgrading to 32gb.

I had intermittent memory issues on my rig. Or so it seemed. I ran memtest86 and it could not even complete, as memtest86 has a cap on number of errors. So my old memory was badddddd. And it was a very well known memory company. Bought this memory, as I have had good luck with gSkill memory in the past, and was irritated that the high name brand was junk. The gSkill ran through the memtest86 tests 3 consecutive times, with zero errors. Rig is much happier now. Only running the memory at 2666. Yes, it is rated higher, but I see no reason to push it. I never pushed the old memory either. Running an AMD Ryzen 5, on B450, so I see no need to crank up the speed. If it were that much of a concern, I would upgrade the motherboard and go to DDR5.

After doing research, I found this particular one that I needed for my upgrade: AMD Ryzen 3 3600X and Gigabyte B550 AORUS Elite. The manufacturer is Samsung not Hynix per CPU-Z app. Your RAM may be capped at lower speeds. This RAM is rated for 3200MHz but was capped at 2100MHz. To fix this, go to the BIOS settings (hit Del when booting). You need to enabled XMP to profile 1 (thanks to this important tip from another reviewer). Once you save and exit, my RAM were now showing 3200! Lots of people think that their RAM or the motherboard is defected but its not. The XMP profile 1 will fix this. Price is good and my previous RAM was also G Skill which never gave me problems. So far, so good. Will provide an update after some time has passed. I recommend these so far.
