Article description: 1:72 F-86 F "Sabre". The single-motor jet fighter F-86 Sabre was developed by the American aircraft company North American and became a symbol of military post-war flying. The F-86 is characterised by the use of the typical sweeper, the large front air intake and the use of the General-Electric J47 jet engine. The flight performance of the fighter aircraft was impressive for the time and did greatly different from those of the propeller-driven fighter planes. The sabre was armed with six M3 1/2 inch. Browning machine guns installed in the nose. She was at the U.S. A. F. widely used and played a key role during the Korean War, where she could encounter the Soviet fighter plane Mikojan Gurevich Mig15 in the first high-speed jet aircraft in history in the air fight.
