Are the clipper blades curved or straight? I need those with straight cut, not curved... thanks!

The tip is curved down a bit to get into corners. Very well made, sturdy and sharp. I had no problem cutting my nails with them. I also cut straight across which these easily do. I sometimes have sharp pieces at the corners which these handle nicely. Hope this answers your question.

Someone said they never need to be sharpened. Any sharp edge eventually looses its edge depending on use. As for your question.. 'can they be sharpened?'..... again any edge can be sharpened with the correct tool/stone/file and know how. If you are unable to you should be able to find someone who can. Sharpening even with acurved surface isn't difficultwith confidence and a bit of practise

The cutting edges of the blades are 3/4 inch (1.9 cm).
