A light, fruity coffee... and theoretically good idea for a portable pour-over
I was really excited to try Tribo Coffee Single-Serve Portable Pour Over Drip Coffee as I'm a primitive tent camper. I'm always looking for good coffee options for my camping trips and was intrigued about this listing. The coffee is in a little woven packet, but has two little cardboard pieces adhered to it to hold it over your mug while you pour the hot water over. I found they stabilized the filter packet of coffee fairly well, and it was an added plus to be able to squeeze the packet a bit to get the last drops of coffee from it without having to dig down into the liquid or burn my fingers. However, my first attempt, one side caved in. My second trial it was sturdier. The flavor of the coffee however was... strange. I thought Indonesia Sumatra at a medium roast would be good but it was lighter and fruitier than even the lightest breakfast roast, and in addition to being almost tea-like, the fruity flavor was more prominent than the coffee. The listing says notes of 'blackberry' and 'passion fruit' but unlike most coffee that tell you it has a hint of fruity flavor, this one is 95% fruity and 5% coffee. For someone who likes 'light' coffee or even hot teas, they might like it. As for the portability for camping - yes - it would work well for that as the packets are light weight, nitrogen packed for freshness and the paper is treated so it's almost a bit plastic feel, to keep it fresh and dry. But this is really almost more of a tea mixed with a bit of coffee than a coffee. I need something more 'coffee like' so it's not for me.

Tastes off. No aroma at all
I was taken aback by the total lack of aroma. I have used the Tribo coffee variety pack & although a couple were mild, they did smell like coffee. This had no smell & then the next shocker! It tasted NOTHING like coffee! It was an unpleasant taste & I trashed the contents in my mug as well as the entire box! Unsure if what I got was an exception or this particular blend is like this. Won't buy this again!

Impressive taste and aroma!
It is so fresh and refreshing, like drinking juice. Not bitter at all. The sweetness and aroma are amazing. Best portable coffee ever!

Easy to brew
These Tribo single serve coffee packets take the guess work (and mess work) out of pour over coffee and very convenient to use. I'm not completely sold on the taste and aroma, though. Out of the packet I don't smell coffee but something else that I can only say to me smells like green olives. And once made the taste to me wasn't great. After that, I took one packet out of the packaging and after a couple of days airing out I could smell the coffee, so I'm thinking maybe the packaging is to blame. Or perhaps the nitrogen preservation process even though nitrogen is supposed to be odorless. Speaking of which, once the strange odor was gone, the coffee itself didn't smell super fresh to me. Not stale but not at its peak, which one would think is the purpose of the nitrogen treatment. So for me it was a bit of a miss though certainly not awful. But maybe good to have on hand if your coffee maker breaks down or for power outages, which is when I typically use instant. So this would definitely be better than that.

Tribo Coffee Single-Serve Portable Pour Over Drip Coffee
Very disappointing. Strong sour smell to the packets. And the coffee - while not sour tasting had very little flavor. I did not over water and make too weak. I actually made a short using the second one to verify, and again no flavor. For a coffee person - seek elsewhere. For someone who doesn't like coffee but want everyone to think you do---this would be perfect - it looks like coffee but doesn't taste or smell like coffee.

Single servings
This single serving package of 5 is a convienent way to have a cup of coffee if you are on the road. The medium roast for me is not a strong taste almost tasted watered down. I feel the price is to high for what you get.

Pretty good
This pour over drip coffee is pretty good. It comes individually-wrapped and is easy to brew like a standard pour over coffee. It has a good flavor but not as bold as what I expected of a Sumatra coffee. The aroma is nice. Overall, I quite enjoy this pour over drip coffee. It is convenient and easy to make with just hot water. The individual sealed packs keep it portable and fresh. It's a pretty good coffee.

Not Good
I didn't care for this coffee. It had a weird taste to it, that just wasn't appealing to me at all.
