Great value/Very satisfied.
Excellent value and good performance so far. I have purchased nearly a dozen laptops for business use over three decades and this is my first desktop purchase. The small profile and quiet performance are what allowed me move in this direction. I had considered other manufacturers who had a matching sale price of $300, but all lacked Bluetooth and the true hi-speed (802.11 ac) wifi card, which was important to me. Also, I had purchased two other ACER products and was highly pleased...an inexpensive Chromebook for my wife and a 21" monitor display on sale during Black Friday. The setup was quick and easy. I'm a Chrome enthusiast so I had my personal files set aside on Google Drive and it was almost too easy to sync them with my new ACER desktop. (I didn't notice any software by the manufacturer or on Windows 10 that was designed to migrate data from one computer to another.) The processor is 3.6 Ghz, not the 3.7Ghz as advertised when I purchased...but I researched that subject and am satisfied that they are near identical. The computing performance has been quick and flawless. The HDD and fan are extremely quiet when engaged, but for the most part sits completely silent. I do want to stress that if you value internet speed and have the 5 Ghz connection available then you must have the 802.11ac wireless card in order to obtain the performance. Most computers in this range are equipped with an 802.11 b/g/n card which can only use the 2.4 Ghz connection...so be aware of this distinction. The optical DVD drive seems thin and lightweight (cheap), but it does function well and I have installed software and watched media with no problem. I haven't tried the wired keyboard or mouse that came with the unit since I already own a Microsoft Arc wireless keyboard and mouse set which I presume is superior.Perhaps I'm biased by the large amounts I was forced to spend on computers in the past, but this does seem like an excellent value when considering price, performance and quality.

Good solid Home Office Computer.
Coming off a 10 year old XP computer that really should have been retired a few years ago, this is a nice computer at a good price (I got mine on a Black Friday special). I was going back and forth about having an i3 processor versus an i5 processor and I wound up buying the i3. The only resource-heavy things we will be using this for are some photo editing and publishing software (Adobe CS and Quark), so I think an i3 will suffice.Windows 10 is a whole new ballgame compared to XP and will take some getting used to, but most people I know rarely do anything with their computer other than opening browsers or other software, so I can still use it just fine while I learn windows 10.Pro's:1) Compact Size.2) Relatively quiet3) Fast and responsiveCon's1) DVD drive was making some weird noises yesterday. A DVD was inside but we weren't playing it. I will need to keep an eye on that.2) When the computer arrived I heard something jiggling around inside. I opened the case and found that one of the screws that hlds down the motherboard came out. Not a big deal, and I put the screw back in, but that type of thing doesn't inspire confidence.3) Included keyboard is a no frills keyboard. Tight spacing, with shallow, short stroke keys. and some keys (e.g., the delete key) aren't where you expect them to be.Overall I am pleased with this computer and would buy it again.

What processor again????
It arrived safe and sound and all works and took about 1/2 hour to make it work. Happy that McAfee 30 day version was loaded. My only ? is that this box is the Acer AXC-705-UR53 all right, but this particular computer, mine, has the older Intel i3 4160 processor in it, not the 4170. It's not a biggie and I'm not requesting a return as it doesn't mean much to me....it's performance is comparable for my needs, and I've got all my stuff loaded on this thing now. I noticed the discrepancy when I looked in Control Panel/System and Security/System/View amount of RAM and processor speed section where it says the processor is the Intel i3 4160 @ 3.6Ghz. I then looked at the label on the Acer box, and it says Acer AXC-705-UR53 (yep) and then the processor is listed...Intel i3-4160. I looked on the Acer website and this processor is not listed for this model #. I looked on the Intel processor website to compare the 4160 to the 4170 and they match up right down the line on the parameters shown except for different 3.6Ghz to 3.7Ghz performance speeds. I don't know what else may be different and really don't care. This is a very nice box and it recognizes all of my peripherals and I got music playing and video working and all. But, this ain't what I ordered.

So far, so good Update
I just wanted to update on the USB issue. After about a week, inexplicably, the USB port that was giving me fits started working. Go figure. I bought a wireless mouse and used the same port that had given me a hard time. It worked immediately. Because I am a glutton for punishment, I tried the original thumb drive that would not read originally. The "faulty" USB port worked like a charm.I set this computer up on Saturday. It is loaded with a lot of bloatware, but I was able to uninstall most of it. There was one that was stubborn but after I installed Super Anti Spyware, I was able to make it go away. I prefer Avast, so I just transferred Avast and deleted the antivirus that it came with. I think it was Macafee (sp) I thought that I would have issues with Windows 10 as my old OS was Vista, but so far, so good. If you right click on the windows icon at the bottom of the screen, it opens the start menu which is very similar to Vista and Windows 7.It was super easy to install the printer. The only issue I have is that it would not read my USB drive. It was the only one I had handy, so I am unsure as to whether it is my drive or Windows 10. I am happy with this computer. It is the perfect size and perfect for my usage. I don't play games so I cannot speak for that, but I am happy with it's performance so far.
