Review: Works with proform/ifit treadmills - I purchased a beautiful new treadmill and decided that I wanted to take advantage of the treadmill’s Bluetooth connectivity with a heart rate monitor. I already spent enough on the treadmill so I was hoping to find an affordable option for the tiny little strap. This one is less than a quarter of the price of the official ifit heart rate strap. And it works. It is easy enough to connect it each time, and the bpm is accurate. I wear a garmin lily, and it is within a couple beats of that. It holds a charge well, charges quickly and easily. It is also simple to use - one spot to press off and on…flashes red as it is turning off, glows green when charging, flashes blue when it is on. I strap it on to my forearm. Truly that simple. I can see my heart rate on the monitor as I go through the workouts. The treadmill also adjusts my pace if my heart rate is too low or too high. It is great to have the data as I am training.

It charges with a USB cord, monitors constatnly, Bluetooth works well, and no dropouts for me. The on/off button is basically the top and covered in rubber so no sweat can get in, and its nice and clicky. Accuracy seems good. (I haven't run it through any DC rainmaker levels of comparison though) Battery life seems good. Just use the Wahoo app or any other on your smartphone.

Well, it is certainly more convenient to wear than a chest HR monitor. Light as a feather. I like it a lot, but it does have occasional dropouts in readings - like its competitors. I have gone back to my Wahoo Tickr as my primary HR monitor, but I am keeping this one anyway.
