Perfect for my FJ Cruiser!
Exactly what I needed. I own an 2014 FJ Cruiser and it has the stock luggage racks. I was able to attach this bracket to the lowest flat crossbar. It's very secure. Thanks go out to Comet!

Ok for small antennas, but it needs “teeth.”
This product was good for small antennas, but not for 4’ Firestick CB antennas or large Diamond antennas (ham radio). It cannot handle the weight on county roads or highway speeds (50mph-70mph). Both antennas fell sideways, and I could have hit other vehicles with them. The loose rubber pad used to grip the mount to the roof rack bars deteriorated from weather (drove from hot sunny Florida to snowing Tennessee. Once the rubber broke apart, there was no “grip” on the roof rack. What would make this product better is if the mount had “teeth” to bite down on the roof rack bars, that would prevent slippage.

Mounts to roof rails as designed.
This cb mount fits the roof rails of my 2016 Jeep Renegade. I'm not sure yet how it will perform.I intend to use this with a 4' antenna in wide open areas but I wonder if it will hold in a situation where an antenna catches a branch.After tightening down it still feels like there is a little too much tilt allowed, though I might just need to make more adjustments to the mount bracket.At least one person complained about clearance for the antenna base -- just get a right angle SO-239 adapter. Like this: RIGHT ANGLE SO-239 TO 3/8" x 24 THREADED ANTENNA MOUNT ADAPTERIt comes with three sets of different length screws for height adjustment of the mount bracket.

Good looking but expensive and not well thought out.
A pretty big disappointment, which has been my experience with other comet mounts. Starting with the materials -- the attaching hardware screws into the body parts which are cast alumnium. Attempts to get things tight enough to make sure the antenna is secure will inevitably strip the holes. I ended up putting steel helicoil inserts into the holes which produces a rock-solid connection.. This is something it should have come with.It could also use more clearance, all around. Not enough beneath the antenna mount for the cable and plug nor around the mount to fit larger roof racks.

Wow, made in Japan(not China), and is super quality, would give 6 stars if I could. Very satisfied.

It works for what it is. I attached to cross member on Chevy Equinox. Has some movement with wind.
