Price, performance, ease of install.
Recommend: - Clean your windows. Not just wash and go. Seriously clean them. Run a safety razor over the glass to get any paint or junk bits stuck on it. Use newspaper or similar for the last pass with window cleaner to get any lint off too. Priming the surface is just as important as any other step, if not more. - Fill a spray bottle with clean water. A tiny bit of Dawn can help but I just used water. Spray the window and film once you have the backing off. The place on window. - You do not have a lot of time to work with this once you start the squeegee process so don't dilly dally. Get it done promptly. Nice quick, smooth movements. - Start at the center and do a + sign movement to get to edges then an X sign movement to get corners. Then just start back in the middle and smooth out sections and/or bubbles to even it out. - Air bubbles happen. Lift it up from the edge and smooth it out some more. Small bubbles will either go away in a couple of days or run a hair dryer on low heat over it for a minute or so. - When you're sure you have it where you want take a razor and ruler and trim it. About 1/8" edge of glass showing since this stuff needs room to expand in heat. Good: - Got a large roll at a really good price. The big name version at the local hardware store would have cost twice as much. I see little difference between them in quality. I'd highly recommend. - Easy to cut and move around on the window during install. Windows 1 person can do. For a door 2 would be needed. - Cuts down the heat in the room well while still being able to see clearly out. Silver/Black is what I used. - Looks like silver/chrome from outside during the day, but not obnoxious. Bad: - The squeegee that comes with it is not what you want to use. I used one for installing vinyl on cars. That is a 2-sided that has a hard side and soft side with a velour cover. This allows more pressure only when needed to help with creases and working the peice out to edges. - Creases can be created easily if you try and force it on. This has a metal substrate and that means creases if you get rough with it when it wants to fold. Those creases might not come out after. This is a common problem. - Peeling the backing off can be a pain. Use some masking tape on each peice in 1 corner to get it loose and go really easy removing it evenly from end to end. A second person could be helpful here. - This isn't really bad but just remember that at night or overcast day people can see in your house better than you can see out. It's a complete opposite effect of bright outside day. All the metal ones do this.

Perfect for Letting Light in but Not Nosey Neighbors
Update since I wrote this review: I have had these up for several months now, no issues what so ever. I live in Houston where our windows sometimes sweat, I've had no issues with this film staying on. I can leave my blinds open all day and when I go to bed I just close them. No one can see in but I close them in case someone gets right up to the window and peeks into a crack where I might not have cut the size perfectly. I know a few others have said theirs hasn't stayed on the window. I did clean my windows pretty hastily, but did clean them before putting my film up. Hope this helps. First Review: I just put this up today in one of my windows. I have no idea if it will stay put so check other reviews for that. What I know - it is absolutely what I wanted. It lets so much light in but doesn't show in or out. If I was close to the window, it might show an image but I'd have to be really close. It's plain, mostly opaque, and went up easily. Here are my tips: I didn't have everything to complete the job so I used my pancake spatula instead of a squeegee, I didn't have a box cutter so I made a template ahead of time and used that to trace and cut the exact size I needed. I didn't have a spray bottle so I had a small bottle from Bath and Body Works w a small amount of fragrance left - poured that elsewhere and used that small spray bottle. So, the biggest challenge I had was trying to pull the backing off, it took me a long time with each. When I do the other window, I will peel, then use my template, and I will make sure to leave something small between the backing and the window film (a sticky?) so I don't take five minutes each time trying to separate the back from the film. Hope this helps. I love open windows - live in a downstairs apartment, I will be able to raise the blinds all the way up and no one will be able to see in but I'll have the light!

HIDBEA One Way Window Film, Daytime Privacy Sun Blocking Reflective Window Film No Glue
Excellent Privacy and Sun Protection - Easy to Apply! I’m very impressed with the HIDBEA One Way Window Film. It provides exactly the privacy I needed during the day while still allowing me to enjoy the natural light. The reflective surface does a great job of blocking out the view from the outside, giving me peace of mind without having to use heavy curtains or blinds. The sun-blocking feature is also fantastic. It significantly reduces the heat and glare in my room, making it much more comfortable, especially during the hotter parts of the day. Plus, I’ve noticed that it helps protect my furniture from fading due to sun exposure. One of the best aspects of this film is that it’s no-glue and static cling. Application was straightforward, and it didn’t leave any sticky residue on my windows. If you make a mistake during installation, it’s easy to reposition without any hassle. The film is also durable and doesn’t peel or bubble after application. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product. It delivers on privacy, sun protection, and ease of use. I highly recommend the HIDBEA One Way Window Film to anyone looking to improve their home’s comfort and privacy.

Perfect for privacy without making the room dark
Great product especially if you can score it during the deals offered. It was super easy to apply and has held up for many years. If you see it peeling just spray some water and press it down. Problem solved. Happened to me since I didnt do it correctly when I first laid it down. Other than that one spot, the film is as is. It looks so nice. Received several compliments for how realistic it looks to a real frosted glass. Perfect for privacy without making the room dark. And the stained affect makes the window and doors look expensive. Great replacement for folks who want privacy without the clanking sound of the annoying blinds especially for your patio doors. And you can get this for way cheaper than the price of a blind. Love it and highly recommend.

Poor Quality and Makes the Room Look Gloomy
I’m very disappointed with this privacy window film. The quality is not poor or flimsy and does apply smoothly. But after installation, it made the room look dark and gloomy instead of providing a clean, and clear look like I expected. It completely changed the lighting in a negative way. Overall, it looks cheap and doesn’t deliver on its purpose. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone.

Very impressed ☺️
Wow! I originally bought this for our bathroom windows but decided to try it out on our skylight window in the kitchen first. Amazing!! My husband was sceptical of course, due to getting the 2'x4' section adhering upside down while on a 10' ladder. It was done on the first try! What a difference! No more intense heat from the sun through that skylight. So happy we did it! I measured and precut the film, followed the directions completely except where it says to remove the cover film, obviously, 2 people are not recommended on one ladder🤭 we only peeled about 4" of the cover film at first, I stood on a different ladder and pulled the rest of the cover film as my husband squeegeed. It worked!! No issues with any bubbles or peeling. So far, it's staying put. I hope this review helps any of you who are pondering if it would work on a skylight 😁

Great product - reduces heat
We love this product. It was easy to install and works exactly as advertised. The film goes on pretty easily and is perfect for the patio door. It reduces the heat coming through. We need to order again to do a few more windows in the house.
