Love this book!
I have been teaching oboe for 25+ years, and this is one of my favorite books for beginning students. It moves in a logical sequence, and includes some fun tunes that most kids really enjoy. I highly recommend!

Really excellent book, not a patronising child’s beginner book as many are, and contains extra information concerning things that every woodwind player should be learning/ already know - breathing, relaxation etc. Also, containing a chart for the fingering pattern at the back - admittedly only the basic, early fingerings that are necessary for the book, therefore I was somewhat frustrated when looking for more- perhaps these are in the (?unobtainable - I can’t find it on Amazon and my geographic location means no music shops near me for .... 200 miles) next book 2.

Brilliant, especially if you already know how to read music.
This is a really good learn to play book. I already know how to read music so didn’t want the jargon included. So this has worked perfectly.

Came up to expectations.
One additional help would be a disc with accompanient to a few simple popular songs
