Does this case arrive inside a cardboard box or just wrapped in plastic?

Keep in mind that the box is not a “plain brown wrapper” shipping box. Mine arrived in the kind of box that it would be in on a store shelf and is clearly marked as a Condition 1 rifle case. A little more discretion might be nice.

Will this case pass tsa inspection for check in luggage

Sorry, but I don’t know any of the TSA parameters for this type of case. Maybe, check with the manufacturer or with the rifle maker, as to specific models that could work.

Would this gun case fit a savage axis ii xp bolt-action rifle with scope?

The inside measurement on this case is 40". Measure your rifle from the butt of the stock to the tip of the barrel. If it is 40" or less, yes it will fit. Width is not an issue. More than enough room for a scoped rifle and plenty of room for extras too. I have a scoped AR-10 .308 in mine with sling, extra mags, ammo, tools, etc.

Where the handle is it is about 7” (you lose about 2” in the width back to front that’s all
