Very Comfortable Fit
This is a review of the 30" XL garment. Since it comes with only a 7 yard lacing, I had to find longer lacing to properly review this item. If you are a "Skinny-Minnie" and are using this as a fashion accessory, then the seven yards may be just right for you. If you have a bit of a "pudge," then you need something longer. I sourced two lengths of lacing: one a 6mm flat and a 3.5mm round. The round was just too stiff, more like a window sash cord than a proper lacing. Form a loop of the lacing and while holding with one hand, take the thumb and index finger of the other hand and gently move to the loop. If the loop closes with little or no additional pressure, then this is a good lacing. It will lie flat and will not overly stress the eyelets. If you have to squeeze the loop closed, then it is too stiff. Camellias has excellent lacing; for me, however, it is just too short. So I took the 6mm flat lacing and sprayed several passes with a dry lubricant. While the Elmers E-450 is my favorite, it can leave a white splotch and was unavailable. [It works great using a nozzle on those jammy import zippers, though.] So I used a Blaster silicone lubricant 16-SL and sprayed the flat lacing several times, turning as I sprayed, outdoors. The solvent took about a day to evaporate, and left no trace. I took this precaution to assure that the lacing on this 15 eyelet-pair garment would proceed smoothly. Any localized stress on the part of the lacing, and you may have an eyelet pull. By pre-lubricating the lacing, then the stress will be much more evenly distributed over the entire garment. My tests involved removing the excellently constructed back panel for simplicity. After a week of wearing from 9 to 13 hours mostly moderately-snug, this garment proved comfortable from the very beginning. Hardly knew I had it on; fell asleep in a chair briefly once. Camellias evidently has done a lot of research and testing in the design and production of this product. From the first day - comfortable. No break-in sore spots. Then tried lacing several notches tighter. While one could feel the "presence" more clearly then - still comfortable. The sides are cut so that the upper rib cage in not engaged, resulting in not only no rib -rubbing, but also giving more torsional freedom. I can easily turn my head about 240o, so driving is completely safe. The seaming is just amazing in comparison to traditional British construction. There are no overlap seams, inside or outside. The pin side edge of the busk has a complete fabric overlay, rather than the single stitch that I am used to [which pulls, and then has to be repaired.] This garment compares very favorably with the custom British units I have had done, and at less than one-sixth the cost. The first place for failure is the busk: the steel cracks at the waist. Here the steel seems to be of a very good quality spring steel and after a week, there is just a gentle uniform arc. I just wish that someone would come up with the idea of putting a button-hole stitch around the busk loops, though, to prevent that seam from unraveling. Next to go are the eyelets; with 15 pairs of eyelets, however, the stress on any individual eyelet should be much lower than on a 12 or 9 eyelet pair construction. Other than the length of the lacing, the only other concern is the most generous cut of the garment around the hips. If you have a "Kim-Kaboose," then this will probably be a perfect fit for you. Otherwise, you may have to take in the hip portion to where it almost touches. Have found that, in general, the more bones, the more even the distribution of stress and thus greater comfort - no localized "hard spots." For back support, this is just superb. Only wish they would make their excellent lacing about 3 yards longer; it is so easy to shorten the length, but not possible to lengthen it.

Supportive, affordable, good quality
I love this corset! I bought some new dresses and wanted to upgrade from waist belts to a corset for a more cinched look. I also have a collapsed L5 and bad posture from my spine lacking curve near my pelvis resulting in a lot of pain. I have seen other women talk about corsets helping with their back problems, so I was eager to see if it helps mine. I have been so impressed!I've only had it for several days, so I can't speak on durability or longevity. I can say that my posture has been great, and my pain has decreased quite a bit since I've been wearing it daily. While it can be a struggle to get it on and laced up the way I want it to be, it is so worth the extra time and effort to do so. My waist looks so good and really accentuates my curves. I feel so good about my body every time I put it on!I do wear a layer underneath rather than having it directly on my skin. I don't get too hot in it. The material is also soft. The corset appears to be well made and of quality materials. Can't be the price either for what it is. I would definitely recommend this corset!

Beautiful curves!
Definitely the best quality Camellias corset so far! It has a very curvy cut...perfect fit for my vintage figure...those with less than a 10in difference between waist and hip might find it gaps unless they are very "compressable" in the waist. This corset is thick and sturdy. Much thicker than the other twill corset I have from this company. I was also glad to feel a waist tape in between the layers. Hopefully it will last better than the mesh versions (which I love for their breathability, but not so much for quality or fit). It does create gorgeous curves, and I appreciate the longer front and back on this one.I'm not certain how I feel about the rigid modesty panel. It is "floating", rigid (boned), and definitely offers an extra bit of back support. Probably best for people who wear their corsets as outerwear because it won't bunch up. I do not, and usually cut out modesty panels because it's hot here in TX and it's nice to have some extra "venting" at the back. That being said...the nice thing about the "floating" modestly panel is you can always just unlace the corset entirely and remove it.It comes pre-laced with poly cording. I really prefer the "shoelace" style laces because they're smoother, easier to conceal, and glide better. But I can always change them out.As with all the Camellia's corsets, the price is excellent and this one is definitely worth the few extra dollars. I hope they make more in this style. If they made one in mesh I would be in heaven! So far, I'm giving it 4 stars out of 5. I'll update if my opinion changes for the better or worse.

Difficult lacing, not designed for bigger people
Runs small, needed to re-lace with longer laces. Very thick material but the boning feels flimsy and bends easily. Very hard to put on, I've laced hundreds of corsets and this one has the strangest lacing guard I've ever seen. If I buy another I'll go up three sizes more.

Excellent quality for the price
Having made well over 1000 custom corsets over the years, I was curious about current off-the-rack versions available on Amazon. I was very impressed by the materials, workmanship, and patterning of this model. They did not cut corners to make a cheap garment, even including a nicely done satin binding on the top and bottom edges and inside hidden loops for detachable garters. Quality of construction aside, I was impressed by the patterning - six panels on each side give a really nice curvy silhouette, often difficult to find in off the rack, mass-produced garments. The corset is fully boned with steel, very sturdy, good quality busk and grommets. I would switch out the laces for the flat polyester shoelace style, and would definitely lace it differently (there are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there for that), but if someone doesnโt want to spend the money for a custom made corset, and if you happen to have the right shape to fit this corset, I would recommend it without reservation.

Awful
I have a long torso and the measurements should have been perfect. I ordered a medium then sized down to see if the lower belly area would fit better, but it didn't matter. This corset leaves a huge amount of space for a large lower belly pouch. Don't order if you have a flatter stomach or are in-between a medium to long sized torso, it just won't look flattering. If you have a short torso AVOID COMPLETELY!

Great fit, thoughtful detail on modesty panel!
I've been wearing corsets for 28 years, and have had custom made corsets and mass produced ones. I was surprised at the thoughtful detail on the back modesty panel being laced in and secured to stop it from shifting and moving about. It adds another degree of ease when lacing up without having to pull the panel across and straighten it.I ordered according to my measurements, and the fit was good. I could have gone down a size, and will most likely order the next size down shortly, but for a comfortable all day wear, this still provided a good waist reduction without sacrificing comfort.Ladies with long torsos and wider hips will appreciate that this corset is more accommodating to your figures - I have a bit of room about my hips which is a non issue for me since I tend to wear my corset over voluminous skirts. The corset is holding up very well to regular and repeated use, and a very light spot clean when needed with a barely damp sponge is all that's been required. I do recommend getting a corset liner (looks like a tube top) if you're planning on wearing this against your body without a layer beneath to keep your corset clean and free from body oils, sweat, etc.

Most complicated corset ever. not long torso friendly.
I got this corset because I saw that they had an option for one for long torsos. I am 5โ10 210 lbs and I ordered an XL. I think the corset fit alright it was a bit snug I maybeeee couldโve sized up by one but I think it would have been a bit too big if I did that. However, the modesty panel is laced with the laces and it is the most annoying thing Iโve ever dealt with out of a corset. This is probably my 4th purchased corset. It took me like 20 mins to fix the strings so the panel wouldnโt slide down the back once it was on.Once I figured out how to get the dang thing on, it absolutely was too short for my torso ๐ญ I had the option of either having my underboob fat pudge out or my belly squeezed out the bottom like a can of biscuits. Its a gorgeous corset and Iโd say it is worth the price but man they need to not advertise it like it fits a long torso when it doesnโt xD

User
its made well & robust & a very good curvy shape
for a very cheap corset, its made well & robust & a very good curvy shape. The only very minor fault was the eyelets put on back to front, but its not really noticeable so I wont bother returning it. It looks like it will last, time will tell

Happy
Not tried it on yet, but I'm very happy with the product. It's well constructed and looks good. Don't know how it will be with tightlacing on a daily basis but is a decent corset to wear. Will buy again!

Corset doesnโt fit properly
Overall well made for the price. But on me it sticks out and gapes open over my stomach at the bottom, sticking out from my body. Unfortunate.
