The 350 is great (the 125 requires upgrades)
Our soon to be 6 year old got the SX350 and it does great on pavement and grass even with the sealed lead acid batteries. Torque could be better, but it's great for the price. Get yourself a set 12ah lifepo4 batteries when the lead acid get weak. We also bought a SX125 for our son who just turned 4. If he were taller the MX350 would be better because the SX125 is unusable anywhere except concrete or hardpack dirt. We have short grass on hard pack and the SX125 needs a push to get going and if you let off the throttle it will stall again. Unless it will be exclusive road use you will need to over volt it with a 18v battery setup. The next step from there is a 24v setup (which requires a new controller, ideally the variable throttle version).

Go bigger
So far so good. If you are on the fence about getting this or the next size up go with the next size up took my son all of 10 minutes to ask me to go faster.

Great little dirtbike
Perfect for our 5 year old to learn on. Easy to assemble, easy for him to ride. Good bike to get experience on before trying a real, gas dirtbike. Battery lasts for at least an hour. He gets tired before the battery dies.

Awesome bike for a 4 year old
My 4 year old got the sx350 for Christmas and loves it. He was already very confident balancing, pedaling, and hand braking on a regular bike, so this came easy. Sizing: It’s definitely suited to a smaller kid. My 10 year old has the sx500 and that’s more appropriate for his age. Highly recommend for a small kid who is already confident on a bike. Note to parents: Get something electric of your own to keep up with your kid. You don’t wanna try to pedal a bike behind them to keep up unless you’re looking to do some serious cardio work. We paired this bike with a bell sanction nitro circus helmet for cool style and complete face coverage. A must for little ones going fast.

It's a good battery option
The front plastic fender was cracked new in the box, installed it anyways. Quick assembly took maybe 5 mins. Battery life could be better, I will look into upgrading them. The throttle is not great, it's either full on or off. It's also a pinch point for kids that aren't wearing gloves.

Coolest Kid on the Block
My son took to this bike very quickly. He has been riding it since he was 4 years old and has been the coolest kid on the block every since he got it. We take it to events, camping, etc. and most kids ask him if they can ride it because it is a fantastic bike.

Super easy to assemble and includes the tools needed to adjust the major components if required. It's quick enough for learning to ride motocross without being intimidating for youngsters. My son thought it was pretty cool and it fits him really well. He's 5 and is just above average size for his age. the throttle is somewhat progressive so it takes off a bit slower and then accelerates to full speed which is nice for learning. The brakes work well but small hands might need them adjusted in a bit so they can reach the lever with enough force to activate the brake. Hydraulic brake would have been worth an extra $25 in my opinion but this is more than adequate. You can't go wrong with this for a young kid who's adventurous and active outdoors.

4.5 year old son loves this bike. Only issue is the brake handle is a bit tight and far aware for his hands to reach but we take him on grass and if he lets off the throttle it slows down right away so doesn’t even really need to use the break. It does go pretty fast but if your kid is comfortable on a pedal bike they should be good on this although it will be a bit before we graduate from riding on the field vs road or gravel. Our 8 year old niece (who is pretty tall) tested it out and it was a bit of a clown bike for her but she still had fun with it.

i bought this for my 6 year old daughter , was a bit weary because alot of reviews have faulty batteries, but i had no issues. i looked into further details online and found that there are upgradable options for the future( bigger batteries, higher voltage , faster speed ) not a concern right now but will probably upgrade parts in the future. the bike is solid and heavier then i thought, feels like a real dirt bike, i am very happy with the buy, cannot wait for my daughter to see it on christmas

A 6, 9 abs 11 year old grand kids ride this. Full charge lasts about an hour and they seem to have had enough by the time it needs recharging. Only reason I didn’t give it a5 Star is the fact that it takes 6-7 hours to fully charge so we only get a couple of hours a day riding in if the kids go out first thing in the morning. Been working Great for two weeks now almost. 6 and 9 year old grand sons like it the best abs it fits them well. It goes fast enough and feels well built.
