What are you supposed to clear coat with? Is this appropriate for outside use on a house trim?

We used Minwax water base oil modified clear coat. Not sure if this is for outside use. Check with any reliable Paint store. We used this product on the metal for the face of our bar. Happy with both products

I want to use this at my bar but my toddlers kick the bar all the time while sitting on the bar stools. Will these bend easily or dent easily?

My daughter has kicked it several times and no dents they are pretty durable and I clipped them to fit my bar I'm happy with this purchase can't complain.

is it easy to cut and apply with liquid nails?

You can easily cut the material with a simple tin snips. You can use construction adhesive but we have not known anyone to use actual liquid nails as of yet with the material. We always suggest using self tapping steel roofing screws with the materials. Stephany
