CSB Holy Land Illustrated Bible, Hardcover, Black Letter, Full-Color Design, Articles, Photos, Illustrations, Easy-to-Read Bible Serif Type Review: Really enjoying this study Bible - I have to admit, I wasn't sure about buying this Bible because I'm unfamiliar with the CSB translation, but I'm really glad I took a chance on it! First, this Bible's got a thick cover and very good binding that's stood up well to my frequent handling, and one cat's equally frequent walking across it over the past 6 months, so I'm confident it will last for many years. The pages in this Bible are thick enough that there's very little bleed-through dark background from the flip side of the page. The paper also holds up well to marking with ink pens, and pencils, but highlighters bleed through, even when applied lightly. I'm not sure how they'd do with gel pens since I don't use those. While this Bible doesn't have huge borders for notes, I'm finding I have ample space on the edges, and at the top and bottom of the pages to write down everything I want. I very much like how this Bible is organized. Having the books and verses noted on the top, exterior corners makes it So Much easier to find particular chapters easily. I really appreciate how the chapters of the Bible are separated into sub-chapters with space and bold descriptive headings. This sub-chapter-style organization makes it easy to go back and find particular passages I'm looking for. For example, Acts 15 has sub-chapter titles for "Dispute in Antioch," "The Jerusalem Council," "The Letter to the Gentile Believers," etc. Thanks to the publishers for this feature. <3 I've seen some reviews that commented on the additional educational inserts, and I have to admit, I kind of agree with some of them. I very much appreciate the Digging Deeper sections, the brief essays on histories and locations discussed in the Bible, and the pictures and descriptions of old buildings, churches and temples, as they provide wonderful, rich context and details that help explain, and form images, of what life must have been like. For instance, the additional information on Caesarea Maritima really helped me see what the port and Herod's palace must have been like, gave me additional insight in Herod's character, and helped me appreciate the workmanship involved in those structures. I'm not sure how much value is added with the inclusion of pagan gods who aren't mentioned in the Bible, but know I would appreciate seeing images of the ones and details for the ones who are - like Moloch for instance, mentioned in Acts. I couldn't find any inserts on him, but I did find internet searches for his image, and the beliefs around him, provided substance and quite a bit of clarity to Acts 7:42-44. I have to echo what others have said about the maps! I really love them and find they, too, offer substantial clarity to the Bible. For instance, when I was reading about Paul's trip to Rome, it surprised me to see how intent God was on getting Paul to the Island of Malta, and made me wonder why? While I didn't mind doing the research to find Publius became a Christian during that visit, and later a Roman Catholic Bishop, and Malta became the first Roman colony to convert to Christianity, again that information would have provided interesting context. Overall, I’m very, very pleased with this Bible. It provides information that makes me think about stories I’ve heard for generations in an entirely new light, and I appreciate how this translation in written in modern English, so I can focus on content instead of translation. Again, many thanks to the Publishers. Review: Interactive and educational Bible - I got this as a present for my coworker since I am moving away and quiting my job. I am so excited to gift this to him. He loves to tell me interesting facts about the Bible. He likes archeology and history. I really think this Bible will encourage him in his faith. The Bible has a lot of pictures, facts, and commentaries. This is a very interesting Bible to have.

SO well made and interesting
This bible is so good. I love the easy to understand CSB, (only thing I dont love is no words in red typically), but the pages are thick and gorgeous like a book, white and crisp, and the photos pop. It just such a well made and lovely bible that I dont want to put down. The notes are SO interesting! Love it. Perfect bible to put in a high traffic area where you will pick it up again and again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent resource to make the Bible come alive! Learned a lot of new things!! Beautiful pictures and scenery! Love seeing the historical and archaeological evidence for the stories in the Bible♥️ There was a few negative reviews saying the Bible was not as in depth as they wished… i personally think this Bible is awesome for any born again believer! If you are trying to be a theologian than this Bible may not be the deep deep dive you are looking for nor was this book intended for that. This Bible is simply the CSB translated Bible with 4 added features (see photos) 1. Book introductions 2. Images and illustrations 3. Corner section of extra information about biblical artifacts found 4. Articles

Incredible!
Most people will put this CSB Holy Land Illustrated Bible head-to-head against the NIV Cultural Backgrounds Bible to decide which is best and in my honest opinion it is a tie, and in the BEST way! They are similar enough to be incredible study companions while having different illustrations, photos, commentary, and maps. Two different looks at the same content but through two different sets of editors and commenters across two similar but different translations. I highly recommend you pickup BOTH... on sale of course.

Such a beautiful Bible to have…🥰
This amazing Bible will make you feel as though you’re apart of the “HOLY LAND!” It’s almost as though the beautiful picture come alive to you!! Reading and having a deeper understanding of the culture is amazing. I love this bible. I believe that every collector should have this Bible. I would most definitely recommend it. The quality and the price is good as well.

Awesome at first glance, we’ll see once it get into it…
Beautiful bible, my first csb bible. I haven’t gotten in to the nitty gritty of this Bible yet so I can’t speak to what’s in there and what’s not. At first skim through though the pictures are beautiful, good amount of articles throughout. Pages are thin but that seems to be the usual, not to thin a textbook feel to them. Happy with the font size, not squinting to read is always a plus. I did a sample highlight and there was barely if any bleed through I don’t know if that’s due to the Bible it self or the highlighters I use 🤷🏽♀️ so yah happy about that.

The Holy Land Illustrated Bible is amazingly thorough and helpful!
This is my one of my top two favorite Bibles that I've gotten for myself, and have given several others away. I feel like I'm taking a visit to the places that I'm reading about. The maps and pictures are amazing! There's no other Bible like this out there that I've seen as far as the photos and discussions of the Holy land go. It really adds a different dimension to personal and group Bible study.

It's so full of information and great for browsing that I haven't put it on the shelf since Christmas. Plus, it's the amazingly readable and accurate CSB translation!
