Hi Kelly, Thank you for your inquiry. Our straws have an inner diameter of 6mm and an outer diameter of 9mm. This size has proven to be optimal to guarantee cleanliness, breakage resistance but also the drinking feeling. We do not use Borosilicate glass! HALM is made out of a special glass, which requires a lower temperature in order to melt completely in the recycling process.
