Granted it feels cheaply made but as far as a radio though, it works quite awesome. The SW receiver works well and the ability to utilize micro SD cards to play MP3 files makes this a very good unit. **Q: Does this DE36 also have a voice recording function?** A: The de36 degen radio only plays back, but does not record at all. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Listen to your lights and other plugged in devices in your house at 540 AM with this radio. It picks up channels underground so I am sure if you were out in the open camping or something it would make a nice portable radio. It is pretty cheaply made but you get what you pay for and it works through all bands as far as I can tell. I returned two of these "things that look like radios". Medium Wave reception is non existent. I mean nothing, nada, zilch. No exaggeration, really. I was outdoors with no electrical interference to contend with. Shortwave is deaf as well. Maybe there is a bad batch of these radio out in the market. I have a hard time believing Degen Quality Control can be this bad. On FM only a couple of stations were received. The sliding analog frequency indicator is slanted on an angle. I thought maybe the first one I received was defective, but both were the same....Terrible. Not worthy to call these radios. The only thing people should be aware of is the "soft" plastic construction.
