Hemlock Park Palo Santo Apothecary Crackling Wood Wick Candle | 8 oz

This candle company has some amazing reviews and I typically don’t use candles because they give me headaches. I bought the Palo Santo scent as it seems like the one with the best reviews. I expected an earthy woodsy scent but it smelled very strong and perfumey. Not my cup of tea, BUT I decided to try a different scent. I ordered the Foxtail Fir and it’s much more natural scented, smells like pine trees! I emailed the company and they offered me to exchange the Palo Santo scent I bought for a different one. I chose the Pumpkin Crème and it is glorious! Smells so sweet and cozy- like a creamy pumpkin latte. I love that the company has such a variety of scents and I can’t wait to try more! They’re handmade, non toxic candles with crackling wood wicks in a beautiful amber colored glass. What more could you ask for!? Ditch the big corporation that sells you GMO soy-based artificially fragranced candles, and try this small business that actually cares about your home and the people that are in it!

I was hesitant to buy this because of it's price but I read the reviews & went for it. I love the scent & this candle lasts forever. I like to light my candles for many hours to really permeate the room they're in, so I go through more candles than I would like. I also love how this candle does not make me feel sick. Certain candles can smell wonderful, but I am very sensitive to smells & even if they smell nice can give me a migraine or headache. This is a great candle & seriously worth the buy. I'm about to buy another to replace a different candle I bought at the same time. Except that one is almost out, unlike this one which still looks brand new.

Just got it this afternoon. Great smell. It came in a gorgeous black velvet bag. Also appreciate the sample size Lily of the Vally candle with it. It shows the company wants to showcase other scents, and is a good sign of quality.

Nice but it goes down to fast it’s all gone .

Every time someone comes into my house and I’m burning this they say it smells “expensive”. High quality, strong palo santo scent but not overwhelming. Very neutral so it blends into home decor easily! I repurchase this every single time it runs and will continue to do so.

It is a waste of money. The scent is very weak and doesn't fill the room. I expected a high-quality and natural candle, but I was disappointed.

This candle is expensive and small, but it absolutely fills the room with its amazing rich scent. It also burns slowly. Given these two factors, this candle is worth it! When I read about others enjoying the crackling sound of the wick, I wasn’t sure what to think. How could a wood wick really sound like a crackling fire? But it really does! It’s not a faint sound either. This is the best candle I’ve ever purchased… seriously! I got the Palo Santo, and am definitely coming back for more!!

Long story short, I walked into the bathroom of one of the best restaurants in NYC (Claro in Brooklyn) and came back to my table of friends, and said, that is the best-smelling bathroom. I need whatever candle that is. They laughed and shook their heads. Everyone throughout the dinner came back from the bathroom and said the same thing, okay, you're right - it smells incredible. We did some sleuthing and even asked the waitress until we found the Palo Santo candle. Everyone who comes to my apartment while I am burning the candle compliments the smell. No one has ever complimented any other candle I have bought. I would never spend this much on a candle because I like another company's more affordable candles, but I will gladly pay for this candle and not feel bad about it. Ugh. So good. It's my favorite candle ever.
