Great replacement
Latest update 10/2018. I finally had the chance to take my Kayak back on the lake and test out the replacement skeg. MBN was great to work with me in resolving my initial problem. This skeg is much stronger than the one that comes with your Intex Kayak. Make sure you understand that is a semi permanent installation. My kayak tracked much better with this skeg. I gave 5 stars to reflect the excellent and prompt customer service provided by MBN. I have referred many Intex kayak owners to this replacement solution and hope they follow through. It will talk a little work to get it on but you won’t be disappointed at the performance increase and peace of mind that it shouldn’t come off while in the water. Here is an update on my previous one star review. The seller was quick to reach out to me, issue a full refund and discuss a possible next step. This was a professional action and speaks of good customer service which is why I’ve changed to 3 stars. I might re-evaluate the replacement Skeg in the future. (Old) I have contacted the seller as the skeg I received does not fit, nor slide in well. I’ve tried sanding it down and using a soft hammer and it still is not in all the way. The front part broke off as I tried to remove it the first time. I am hoping for a refund and that perhaps I received a defective part.

Great Skeg
Got this for my K2 because I lost the original 6" skeg. It is a very tight fit. Had to use a mallet and tap it in slowly. Fits tight and stays in great. I can deflate the kayak and fit it back in travel bag without removing this skeg. Kayak tracked a good deal better than with the original. Very happy with this product.

Good replacement for Explorer k2
I lost my skeg from my explorer k2 . I could not reach customer support from intex for the life of me. I am greateful this product is available. I was able to put the replacement with a tap of a mallet. It will be semi-permanent. It works and I hope it will stay on for at least a year.

Know the size of the groove.
The skeg did not fit my boat, it is designed for a 10" groove. I have returned it and ordered a skeg for a 6" groove.

Buyer beware
The skeg looked usgly and didn’t fit my Intex Kayak2, so I went directly to the manufacturer and bought the original skeg for $3.19! No joke!

Best replacement skeg for Intex Explorer K2 kayak!!
Fits PERFECT!!! And I really like how it's not as tall as the OEM and longer! You gotta use some miracle to get it in but that just shows how secure it will be. We haven't taken the kayak out with it in yet but I can already tell it's going to be such a positive improvement!

Broke easily and quickly
It was very hard to get in but it did go in. However, after only using it two times it broke where it slides in. I bought this as a replacement because I lost my skeg. It was an expensive mistake, and when they are in stock, Intex sells them for less than five dollars apiece.

Love these skegs!
The quality of these are amazing! Better than the ones that came with our kayaks. And they work better too. If I had one complaint it's that they are a bit tough to get all the way on. But I'll take that trade off any day! Will purchase again!
