A: The fabric covers the waist and leg bands.  It is soft, stretchy, and comfortable!

**Q: Are these knock-offs?  The waist looks much higher than those I have previously purchased.**
A: Not knockoffs when I ordered 2 months ago. They are the good all cotton ones they always called hipsters. Size 8 measures 4 inches from hip to a few inches below my waist.

I like them better than the regular ones, but for a hipster, it is too high at the waist. It fits better in the rear though. The regular ones sag in the back and these don't. I love that it is all cotton and has the elastic covered.
