Love, love, LOVE all the pockets and here's why....
I've seen a lot of negative comments about the pocket design on these pants, but I respectfully disagree with them all. I run a pet sitting business and these pants have been a HUGE GAME CHANGER for me. For the record, I'm female and cannot find women's cargo pants that A) are made to last and B) have pockets that are actually FUNCTIONAL. I needed something with enough pockets to store my essentials and allow my hands to be totally free when I'm out walking dogs, as I don't want to deal with a cumbersome purse, backpack or fanny pack when working. Particularly in 90+ degree temps, these pants area SERIOUS WIN to avoid uncomfortable and unsightly back sweat. Following are 3 elements that I like most; 1) They have enough small pockets so that I can keep all my essentials SEPARATED NEATLY, which makes it a "quick draw" whenever I need to access anything. I've found I don't like the standard design of cargo pants with two single, large pockets on each leg because all my items "get lost in the shuffle." When I've got multiple dogs in my hands, I need to be able to quickly and accurately retrieve whatever specific item I'm trying to access. The multi/smaller pocket design is IMHO the BEST pocket design I've ever found, saving me time and the distraction of digging for stuff, keeping me focused on my dogs. 2) All pockets have velcro closures opposed to button closures. This is all about functionality. Sometimes I have to run and I need a pocket that securely closes QUICKLY. I don't have time to be fiddling with an annoying button every time I need to open and close a pocket. 3) These are durable but still lightweight enough for me to wear in high temps without completely sweating through them. Because really, no self respecting girl wants sweat rings on her butt or back. That's just gross. I use the pockets in a very specific way. Here's how; LEFT LEG There are 2 small upper pockets (side by side) and 1 rectangular pocket underneath. UPPER RIGHT POCKET - I use this for all my I.D./credit cards. The size/shape of this small pocket is the PERFECT size for all my cards to stay in a NEAT, SINGLE STACK. In other words, it's just snug enough that prevents them from getting all shuffled up. UPPER LEFT POCKET - I use this one for my chapstick, plus mini tubes of sunscreen and hand sanitizer. Three small items fit neatly in a single, upright row. Again, another PERFECT fit. LOWER LEFT RECTANGULAR POCKET - This is a low pocket, so I don't want anything hard that'll rub against my thigh. This is the perfect space for my sunglass chamois (just a soft cloth) that I'm constantly using after getting wet, sloppy doggy kisses all over my glasses - perks of the job ;) RIGHT LEG There's 1 large gusset pocket with a BUILT-IN smaller pocket WITHIN this large pocket. This smaller pocket is perfect to carry a small stack of business cards, an absolute must have (for me) at all times. The built-in pocket is clutch because; A) They keep my cards FLAT and prevent them from getting damaged by other loose items in a traditional larger pocket. B) Because the pocket is built-in, it creates a "second skin" around my cards preventing any body sweat from soaking into the cards. Gross, I know - and probably TMI. But this has saved me costs in throwing out soggy cards (wasting money) and the personal guilt I feel from throwing out paper products that were previously perfectly fine. My only complaint about these pants?? They don't come in enough colors!! ***ATTN WRANGLER*** Please, please, please MAKE THIS EXACT STYLE OF CARGO IN MORE COLORS!!! I'll literally buy TWO of EACH color. USER TIPS: 1) Unless I've gotten a particularly nasty stain on them, I usually wash them inside out if washing with other clothing because of the velcro on the pockets. Sometimes the pockets become detached during the washing cycle and the adhesive side of the velcro can damage fabrics of your other items in the wash. Although now I have so many of these specific cargos that I just wash them all together in a single load. Yup, darks and lights together. Once I've washed the darker colors separately a few times I don't worry about washing them with my lighter pairs. To date, I've never had a problem with the darker colored pairs bleeding onto the lighter ones. 2) I recommend HANGING TO DRY after the first (or second) washing. This will help prevent shrinkage. I've hanged to dry for after the first two washings for each pair and have never had any issues with shrinkage. I hope all this info helps when making your choice. As with anything, pocket design is clearly a matter of different strokes for different folks. But since there were so many negative reviews I felt obligated to chime in to say that this design wasn't a total bomb for everyone, as it was the exact opposite for me. So if there are others (like me) who have very specific needs, then these pants may just be the perfect fit for you.

Great fit/storage, and may be acceptable for casual office/lab environment, so a good value.
Everyday practical, attractive, comfortable, 100% cotton cargoes. Worn in a casual engineering office/lab environment, at home, going out, and doing household/yard chores, hiking/exercising. Great pocket layout (favorite of all other cargoes owned) with eight separate pockets for things like wallet, pocket knife, earbud case, spare car/house keys, main car keys, and handkerchief with spare room remaining in even these pockets when in use, all in front without using the two additional rear pockets, so everything is readily accessible when sitting/driving. With all these items, the look is still trim and the feel is very comfortable and not bulky. If machine washed in warm water and dried on "normal/medium dryer temperatures, they will likely shrink, especially in length, so know your actual tolerances and consider going to the next inseam dimension, especially for the khaki colored version, as, in personal experience, these tend to shrink on first wash/dry, but typically not afterwords. Timeless design. Let's hope they remain available for the future of humanity AS IS! Since these are 100% cotton, expect edges to wear over the years, especially around rear pockets or any pockets that carry heavier items, like a Swiss army knife or wallet in the rear pocket. Any worn/frayed pair always find new life in the roles of "exercise, weekend, run-to-the-hardware-store, and at-home chore pants". Isn't life great?!? Enjoy!!

Good Quality and a low price. But not what they used to be!
I have worn Wrangler Cargo pants for over 20 years now. And during that time they have changed. The earliest ones were very good quality and would last for a very long time. The pockets were great sized and they were great pants for the price paid. Then Wrangler changed them to a lower quality materials for both the pants and the pocket materials. The pants didn't last as long and developed tears at the pocket corners in front and back. The pockets also were wearing thin and tearing sooner. And that brings us to this "new" iteration of the cargo pant from Wrangler. Opening the package I am initially disappointed at the further drop in quality and thickness of the material, it seems like it will not last very long at all. Secondly, I was disappointed in the fact that these felt more like dress pants than they do work pants. I like the added protection offered by thicker material when moving around in an environment with things that you may bump into or rub against in daily life. Concrete, wood, metal etc... these things can quickly tear or abrade light fabrics and quickly become very unsightly. Thicker and more durable cloth will witstand and maintain its good looks for long. So as I said these pants are another loss of durability and a loss of usefulness in cargo pocket. They used to have two pockets on the left and one on the right. they now have useless pocket sizes, the top pocket is long and narrow. It is useless for anything except pencils and pens. Or something of the sort. And the pocket under it has been reduced as well so that it will not easily hold a wallet. The position of the pockets are also wrong. The items in them rub directly on your kneecap as you walk. And this leads to chafing and sore spots. So If Wrangler is listening, please redesign these pockets and put them slightly higher and more to the outside of the leg so items carried will not constantly rub on your kneecap. And for the love, make one pocket on the right leg and two on the left like cargo pants have had since they were invented 100 years ago. I like them as they were, I don't like you dividing them and moving the pockets to the front of the pants where the pants are now just regular pants again with useless pockets on the front that cant be used.!!!

Best cargo pants. True to size. Plenty of room for bigger guys. Tons of pockets and very comfortable 😌

A Solid Pair of Work Pants
I've been wearing Wrangler cargo pants as work pants for years, and with good reason. The fit is loose enough to ensure comfortable mobility, however they maintain a uniform and professional look without the dramatically baggy appearance. Multiple pockets in different sizes to keep your EDC's organized and evenly distributed. But the biggest pro? THEY LAST!! I still own and regularly wear a few pairs that I purchased at least 4 years ago, and are only just now starting to get holes in the knees. For the price of these pants, I'd say I definitely got my money's worth a few times over! Bottom line? My absolute go-to pair of work pants. If there was just one thing I would add, it would be gel shirt grippers on the inside of the waistline to help keep shirts tucked in. But hey, no reason to complain, 5 Stars Wrangler!

Not like they used to be
The fit was fine, since I've bought this size for several years. Five years ago, this same product and product number had significantly thicker fabric - comparable to blue jeans. I loved them because they were 100% cotton (still are), and had a very convenient open cell phone pocket on the right thigh, and Velcro flapped thigh pockets. Now ... there is no drop-in cell phone pocket at all, and thin fabric. The fabric wore through (a hole) after about 6-8 months of sporadic wear, whereas the older style never did after 5+ years. The new ones look just fine, but they wear fast and they are less convenient to cell phone users ... which is pretty much all of us. There are five thigh pockets now, but they all require wrestling with the Velcro flaps, often with 2 hands, which I find inconvenient and annoying. Same is true for both back pockets, which didn't used to be Velcroed closed, but are now.... so annoying to access your wallet. Plus the Velcro then likes to stick to whatever you're wearing as a shirt or jacket. They had such a good product before. Now it's not terrible, but I really miss the old ones and I'm only shopping other brands now. Most of this is subjective and maybe you like lots of Velcro and lightweight fabric. But I was very disappointed by the changes. The old fabric was heavier but not overly heavy, and being 100% cotton, it breathed fine and felt fine even in the hot summer. Not sure why that's so hard to find these days, and without so much Velcro.

Wrangler!!!! You blew it on this model! Please bring them back!
These are GREAT CARGO PANTS!!!!! Why they are being discontinued... I have no reasonable idea! What a shame. They are so good AND UNIQUE... that I am now willing to buy alternate sizes and reconstruct pieces and parts to get maybe another year or two via private seamstress cooperation!!! THERE ARE NO OTHER CARGO PANTS LIKE THESE... I keep looking... but they simply do not exist!
