I love these. Don't forget to put the new code strip in your meter every time you get a new order of strips. Cat or dog, pick the right code strip and make sure the number on your screen matches the strip. Super easy. These have been a game changer in managing my cat's diabetes. I test on the ear tips and it's no issue at all. I don't see how you could manage feline diabetes without home checking. Too many vets are sadly not well informed on this issue in particular, (pharma, device, insurance, venture capital, and "food" companies corrupted many facets of health care education/treatment) my vet told me there's no way to home monitor feline blood sugar, argued about the insulin type, ... and recommended Hills prescription diabetes dry food! The literal most expensive and highest carb dry food on the market. I received no education from them, but lots of odd counterintuitive "info". Orijen dry food and Dr Elsey's Clean Protein are excellent if you can't completely eliminate dry diets. Try, keep trying, but don't stress yourself and kitty to breaking. Compromise and adjusting, being fluid, doing lots of (non industry biased) research, will help so much to get you through this. The wet food that says "in a hydrating puree" is usually the low carb. If its says "in gravy" it's high carb. Pouches are more carby than cans, generally. There's no hard and fast rule on that however and pureed pumpkin is pouched and very healthy. So Look at ingredients, look for potato starch, tapioca, rice, barley, etc. They are a no no. (Wheatgrass is okay because it's from the stem not the kernel) Grain, and carbs, aren't only from wheat and corn. Labels are mostly marketing, so they can say "grain free" while having sweet potato or other sugary starches and fillers. Only the actual Ingredient list and the percent of high quality protein is relevant, because they rarely if ever disclose the true carb counts. They know carbs are what we most want to avoid in our obligate carnivore pets. So this ones going to hurt: No dry traditional cat treats, no greenies, they are ALL devastating to blood sugar levels. Even one of these treats spikes then crashes their blood glucose. It hurts to not give these to your buddy anymore, but they're dangerous. And that includes for non diabetic cats. Every cat doesn't have diabetes or cancer, right up until they do. Some end up fine despite the crummy pet food market, but you don't know which ones will or won't get sick; so why gamble with their health? Sugars contribute to tumor growth as well. So can sitting outside where people spray weed killer, don't hire companies that broadcast spray and leaf-blow like maniacs, don't pour bags of granular herbicides either, including Preen and weed and feed if you have pets. You will track it inside. They will get it all over their fur and bodies, outside and inside, it's inhaled, licked, stuck in paws, absorbed through skin and mucous membranes, transferred to you and your kids as well. Tiny controlled spot treating outside is the safest way if you absolutely have to, use a liquid/focused spray. Ps: Foods labeled for weight control, devastatingly, contain MORE CARBS, less fat and protein. It's so counter intuitive. Most pet food is meat flavored lucky charms, they are owned by Big ag cereal/grain companies. They pack the labels with as much marketing as possible and make it look like information. Breed specific, diagnostics, weight management, they are usually excuses to sneak in ingredients you wouldn't otherwise choose for a cat. Pps: cat specific probiotic however is a game changer for diabetic pet issues. Provable brand makes easy to use capsules, they're here on amazon and they're cheaper than the big box brand. I mix the powder into pureed pumpkin or a tablespoon of wet food. It's made a massive difference in the common digestive problems. Purina brand probiotic however is rumored to be an excellent flavour lure to get dry food-conditioned cats to eat wet food. Cut back on the seafood if you can, this may help too. Those few mods can help some cats with skin itching and fur tugging. Also also, Vetsulin is rebranded Caninsulin. It is formulated for dogs, not cats. Despite what pharma sponsored education has taught many veterinarians. The far better insulin for cats is Lantus (Glargine). It's a Depot insulin instead of the fast and hard hitting then fast crashing "Vetsulin" (Caninsulin) . The goal is stability, not wild cycling throughout the day with risks for hypo. Cats can go into remission from diabetes! Stability with insulin dosing after optimum dose is titrated, home sugar monitoring, and diet change can actually accomplish this. Automated or pre filled products are also not advised for cats, they limit your ability to make adjustments and tailor your treatment to your cat's specific needs. Keep a bottle of sugar syrup (Simple Syrup, Karo, Maple, Pancake syrup etc) handy, if your cat hypos and won't immediately take a gravy food or eat carb heavy treats. This can save their life, by rubbing on the gums while someone calls the vet. Hypoglycemia is a life threatening emergency. It can however be handled if you catch it and have the supplies on hand to administer immediately. Always check if your insulin is U100 or U40 because you cannot swap syringes between them. They are proprietary units of measurement and require the corresponding syringe. Small chambers with half dosing marks will be very helpful in dose titration for cats; unless otherwise advised doses should not be asjusted by more than .25 or.5 at a time, with at least a week hold in between changes in order to stabilize, with glucose arc monitoring and charting, before adjusting again if necessary. Live grass and live catnip are important too. These strips/monitor are excellent and I'd recommend them to anyone with pet diabetes.

I cannot thank your company enough for providing a really high quality, reliable glucose measuring tool. I had no idea what I was getting into with a diabetic cat. My friends told me I would be at the vet office three times a week and I thought “that is not in my budget.” I researched reviews of various tools on Amazon of course because where else? And yours sounded like the best. I have not been disappointed. Having the right tool helped save my cat’s life. He was very difficult to stabilize and had I not had the glucose tool to figure out what was going on with him, who knows where we’d be? Thank you- and great customer service ! Prefer this so much over the AlpaTrack, not only more cost friendly, but easy to use and the readability of results amazing, blood requirement same as other monitors, size is easily transported and I am confident in the results I get every time.

Experienced medical professional here: Looks like you'll need a lot of blood, but you don't. Easy to use glucometer, accurate even at 10,000ft altitude. I like this glucometer better than alphatrak 3 and the strips are much less expensive. 10/10 for twice daily use.

We have a dog that was diagnosed with diabetes. This kit has been pivotal for us to work with our Vet to monitor and determine the proper dosage and ensure it gets her levels back in line. We found the best place was the pad on the top joint of the leg to draw from.

This product is accurate & reliable for my 15-year-old diabetic, mini dachshund’s diabetic glucose monitoring. And it also has an excellent customer service staff - needed to reach out with a personal concern, & the response was immediate & to my total satisfaction.

This is a very easy system to use. don’t be afraid when calibrating the monitor. You have to make sure you put in either the cat strip or the dog strip and make sure the number matches. After that, just follow the instructions on how to set the date and the time and you should have no problem at all.

There’s really nothing else to say the refills are cheaper and the system was cheaper than what my vet recommended and I’m very happy with it

My cat was diagnosed with diabetes, and I found your product was reasonably priced, straightforward to use, and gave me accurate readings, which truly helped me / made it possible to give proper care to my cat. It made a difference in my cat's life and I am truly appreciative about it. I recommand this product to anybody as an alternative to the over overpriced alphatrak.

Brought this as I have a cat who has diabetes and after he having his frist hydrop decided to buy this only thing is as everyone else has said the lancet is rubbish I ended up using one of my own

To keep using this product you have to buy new test strips and lancets which are ridiculously overpriced. Almost the same price as buying a whole new glucose reader. I would recommend anyone getting a different brand that is cheaper to maintain as I will be doing.

I’m very satisfied with this product. I have been purchasing this product monthly for a little over a year and a half now. Very easy to put together and use. My diabetic 17 year old cat has been thriving, and its accuracy helps me sleep best at night. Only one thing is the price, decent for the product; however, a little pricey, but I will purchase again.

It took me a while to get used to using this device. The instructions are reasonable, easy to follow, and the equipment is straightforward. My biggest difficulty is actually getting the blood out of the cat. The lancet device is great, easy to use, and the actual lancets are quite reasonable. Recapping them after is a bit rough because the cap is so tiny. And sticking the glucose strip into the glucometer is also hard because it’s so tiny and thin and you can’t touch the actual sensors. So, overall, I am very happy with the device, the lancets and the strips. It works well, seems quite accurate (numbers have been verified with vet’s glucometer), and the price is very very reasonable. I wish I got this sooner. If you have a diabetic cat or dog at home, you NEED to get this, it will save you hundreds of dollars in vet fees, and literal thousands of dollars if your animal lives for several years, and is a fragile diabetic like mine. Never mind actually being able to prevent extreme scenarios of too high glucose, or the emergencies of low glucose and seizures - you can prevent them with simple checks at home.
