Folkmanis Snail Hand Puppet

Went to the aquarium and my child picked this out, the price was double what they offered here! We bought it and by the time we got home it was in the mailbox and we paid half the price on here. My child loves it and plays with it daily.

Cute snail puppet, you insert your arm through the shell and extend it to end with your fingers in the puppet's upper and lower lips and antennae. This puppet is the length of an older child/adult forearm, so if you have a toddler he/she will not be able to manipulate it directly. Still, a toddler will have a blast watching you do stuff with the puppet, and the puppet makes a very cute stuffed animal anyway.For the physically challenged, it is very easy to use the fingers to make this puppet produce the cutest and funniest expressions. Just spread your fingers for the happiest enthusiastic bigh mouth, or pull them together for an adorable pout. You can insert your fingers to move the antennae too. THe mouth is wide enough that you can play some games with your toddler, like crayons and blocks. My toddler loves it when Parsley (our name for the puppet) drops things and moans. My toddler goes wild when I use this toy, he is actually so into it that I often hide it because he'd have me use it all day long. This toy will get your arm some muscles!Easy to clean (wipe with wet cloth).Warning: the eyes are buttons and can come off. So I only let my toddler play with this toy when I am around.

Beyond happy to have found this puppet! When I was in grade school one of the school's administrators had this same puppet and I can remember how much I loved it and thought it was just the coolest things ever. 20+ years later I'm grateful to be able to share something that brought me so much joy as a child with my own son.

I really like the way this new can come in and out of his shell. It took a few minutes to open up the holes for the antenna, but it is a great puppet.

I saw an older one of these that had been donated to the toys in my local library and had to buy one for myself. I love him so much!It is smaller than the old model- it's not an issue if you have smallish hands (like me) but if you wear a large size glove you might want to see if you can find the bigger one used somewhere. If you want a softer mouth for expressions (like me) or the mouth doesn't close properly, just dampen the felt and work it around to the right shape.

We absolutely adore this little guy. When he hides in and then comes out of his shell it is just too cute. My 2 year old loves playing with Mr. Snail.

Love this snail! My son has named him Billy! Great for entertainment and it's durable so it seems that it will last a long time. Totally worth it.
