Works well and gives correct results

After reading reviews on test strips I decided on these. They tested the majority of what I needed and the reviews were decent. First, I tested all five of my aquariums and they seemed to be accurate compared to my API master test. Then I tested my tap water just for comparison. Everything there seemed to be good, other than the Ph.My tap water has a Ph ranging from 9.5 to 10.3 according to my water company. When I test my tap water with my API master kit it shows the highest possible results. On these strips, my tap only shows slightly higher than my tanks and even the results for my tanks is inaccurate.In the photo, the first strip is my tank water. It shows a Ph of 6.2 but the actual Ph is 7.4. The second strip is my tap water. It shows a Ph around 6.8 (possibly 7.2) but my actual Ph is at least 9.0. I mainly got these as a quick way to check my nitrates and that does appear to be accurate so they will serve their purpose, but you might not want to rely on them for Ph results.

Rapid cycling my 55 gallon, I needed these. To ensure these were reading correctly, I took water samples and my strips to 2 seperate fish stores and they matched exactly, matter of fact Petsmart quarantined 4 of their tanks because I wanted to test my strips and they learned their water was way out of balance, because of my asking. Never be reluctant to ask to test the water of an aquarium you are purchasing fish out of. I use these strips probably way more than I need to, but I want my water always perfect and these help me keep the water in an ideal condition. The price is great for the peace of mind you get, super easy to read..dip read..that simple, the bottle has the ideal colors marked where you want your colors to be. I will ALWAYS purchase this product.

Testing is the most important part of managing an aquarium. The majority of aquarium hobbyists typically agree that the API Master Test Kit is the most accurate. However, it's time consuming to run all of the tests. That inconvenience can lead to iconsistent testing and ultimately cause a total tank failure.While lurking Reddit and Youtube, I learned that some of the big names in the hobby lean on test strips for day-to-day testing. Although they're not the most accurate, they can give you a general idea of what's going on.The first few tests with these strips seemed to be accurate enough to build my confidence in using them daily, until today. The strip read that my PH was 6.2 which was lower than I expected. I have a Seachem PH alert tag hanging in the tank that was reading a PH of 7.4. So I ran both the high and low API Master PH tests and they gave me a reading of a PH 7.4-7.6. The most accurate test and a backup method gave results much different than this strip.Lost my confidence in this product. If I hadn't done additional tests I could have tried to fix a nonexistent issue and caused problems in the tank.

Not sure if it is accurate. I’ve use test strip from other brand together with the old fashioned drop test kit. The nitrate reading is either far off or the colour difference is so shuttle that I cannot tell them a part. Definitely won't buy again.
