Can the angle be adjusted when not fully extended?

Yes. There's no mechanical hinge. The outer shelves just rest on top of the center one. Be aware that one needs to add a spacer beneath the outer shelves make them level with the center one, otherwise, they angle down slightly.

Side panels 5 only have holes on the inside of the panel, not the top. I'm not sure how to connect them to panels 2 and 3?

They do not connect. They just rest on top of the middle section.

Missing cam screws. What size do I need so I can get some?
