## Description

Color: Earth Tones, Size: 9 x 12 inch. Canson's Mi-Teintes papers are recognized world wide as the preferred papers for pastel, drawing, and paper craft. These gelatin-sized papers are 50 percent cotton, and resistant to fading. The paper is dual-surfaced: one side with a heavy texture and the other with a lighter texture. Mi-Teintes is a light-fast paper that is colored at the pulp level. This pad is made with 9 x 12 inch 98 pound/160 gram paper.

This paper works extremely well with Oil Pastels, mostly independent of the pastel quality: mid-range grades of o. pastels (haiya Ruebens) are much easier to blend and layer, as are Harder o.pastels (CrayPas, eg). Sennelier and similar softer brands deliver outstanding results: The Brightness of certain colors are particularly enhanced. On the rougher paper side, the Tooth thickness allows more layering than the Canson Water Color stock I typically use - Indeed, I had to relearn many color application techniques I highly recommend this product, even to beginners in the Oil Pastel media. It is not terribly expensive and is definitely easier to work with compared to most substrates.

**Q: Does this include dark and felt grey？**
A: Hi there!  This pad contains four sheets each of the following colors — Dark Gray, Felt Gray, Steel Gray, Flannel Gray, Pearl, and Pearl Gray.

**Q: Will this paper accept an alcohol wash for setting a pastel underpainting?**
A: No. The paper is for pastel only.

**Q: is this one sheet or several?**
A: There’s 24 sheets 6 different shades. I like them. Have fun drawing.

**Q: Is this good with charcoal    Lack or colored? Is the surface rough or double sided?**
A: It should work equally well with charcoals as with pastels. The paper seems to be the same texture on both sides.  It has some "tooth" but is not rough.  Charcoal blending techniques should work well.
