The Letters of Edgar Degas
S**E
Beautifully produced books in 3 volumes. The third has the letter translated into English.
A comprehensive collection of virtually all of Degas’ letters and beautifully produced. The cost makes these volumes not for the general reader maybe but experts or people seriously interested in Degas work and life. If you can afford these excellent volumes whether you are an expert you won’t be disappointed. However, a word of caution: of the three volumes the third one has the English translations of the letters, the other two are printed versions of the French originals. If you want a single book of English translations you will have to obtain a copy of the 1949 book which, as far as I know, the only English version. The older edition can be still purchased via Amazon, Abe Books etc.
