Harold the Haunted Doll: The Terrifying, True Story of a Child's Encounter with The Prince of Hell! Paperback – September 23, 2015

The storyline was great but I hated the conversation layout. It made it confusing to read going back and forth between italics and normal font

I have long been fascinated by Harold and other dolls when I saw a you tube video, 10 most haunted dolls. Harold has a way to draw you in when you don't want to b drawn in. I have never seen the doll personally and would love to just have a peek at him. The picture of Harold on the books cover makes me want to cuddle him as I have told the author, I want to mother the doll. As far as the book goes, I feel it is brilliantly written. It is easy to follow the plight of Anthony and his friends as they have harrowing encounters with the entities in and outside the doll. The pictures scattered throughout the pages really bring life to the written words and events taking place. It makes the reader believe these events are real in a very surreal way, it draws you into a world of the unknown and this makes the book hard to put down. I read it in less than 2 days and have my own feelings about Harold and have relayed these feelings to the author. Whether he thinks I am a nut remains to be seen. All I can say is if you purchase this book, and I recommend it, prepare yourself for a roller coaster ride of emotions from fear, although this not an emotion I felt, to sadness, sorrow and humor. I don't mean humor in the hahaha sense but in the way the author expresses himself when repeating the experiences others have had and communicating those experiences. This book is written without foul language unless it is pertinent to what is being relayed and I find this refreshing. I would like to a second book on what Anthony has found out about Harold that is mentioned in this book without going into any detail, in fact there is nothing to hint at what has been found other than the mention he knows who I trapped in the doll and that it would take another book to explain it all. I want to see that book come to fruition. I loved everything about this book and am sorry that Anthony and others have gone through what they have. In closing there is a saying that goes like this: the living don't mess with the dead, the dead don't mess with the living but if you try to hurt the dead, they will hurt back with a vengence.

I’d heard about Harold, the haunted doll, and was intrigued. I ordered the book and eagerly awaited its delivery. Once I had it in my hands I began to read it and did not put it down until I read it to the end! I’d never seriously considered what “haunted” might imply when it came to an inanimate object. Having been raised and educated in the Roman Catholic Church and even been a nun I have always been aware of exorcisms and “possessions” by demonic entities. However, since Vatican ll, I had given little thought to the “devil” or demons, except when the “Exorcist” movie came out. At that time I read that book before going to a showing for the entertainment writers in Washington, DC. My neighbor wrote for the Washington Post and could bring a guest to the preview. I read the book the night before and told her I would go. “The movie couldn’t be as bad as the book”, I naively said. It was. I would say Anthony Quinata’s experiences with “Harold” is even worse than the Exorcist account. The story unfolds well, drawing the reader into an expanded dimension of unexplainable events. How Mr. Quinata maintained his sanity through it all and up to this day, can only be due to his deep spirituality and faith in all that is holy and good. I hope to read a second book about this on-going reality which works on a dimension we cannot see or explain. Perhaps when it is all said and done, and I do mean done and over with, there will be a documentary made for all to see. I think it is necessary that we become more aware of the active forces of good and evil so that we may reinforce all that is good and holy in our lives. I began sleeping with a Benedictine crucifix under my pillow after reading this book. I bless all that comes to my awareness, including, and especially Anthony Quinata. Terrifying but relatable, this is a true page-turner that is very honest, accessible and well-written. Clearly from the heart of the author and scary as it gets!

I like Talking to Harold and Anthony through Facebook and its Messenger. I just started reading the book today It is Gripping. I have asked Harold to communicate with me on my spirit box. I asked him to say Hi Dave I have him a time and he did say Hi Dave. I asked Harold to send orbs while I recorded on my CCTV while watching my haunted dolls .And I told him a time and again Harold sent a light show of orbs. I will continue to experiment with my dolls and ask Harold to break through I know he can do it. And he does.

As a doll enthusiast and collector, I was drawn to this book....., I have seen many composition dolls offered on ebay as haunted, advertised that way....and so, when I saw this book was available, I was excited to get it and read!!!!!!! I guess I have a sensitive spot for the "other" world of spirits... as sort of second sight... and so reading this drew me in and made me, uncomfortable to say... a bit paranoid.... in my mind, I kept thinking that this doll could be restored and loved...I do this all the time to old dolls, fix them up... sort of make them "happy" and presentable for this time frame... but.... this doll Harold, I am convinced.... is nothing to mess around with...I have never encountered a book like this in my life... very unnerving... and for me... scary..............poor Harold....and the spirits that inhabit him.......sad......

I am very much into the paranormal, particularly true-life cases.I enjoyed this book very much, and although I am used to being exposed to lots of creepy things in books/film, and therefore don't scare too easily, THIS book really did get under my skin. I read all of it within a couple of days because I found it very engrossing.If you believe in the paranormal then this account is well documented and presented here. If you don't believe or are sceptical, it's still an enjoyable book that is likely to unnerved you.I recommend it highly.

An absolutely fascinating and superb account of Harold the doll. I found it incredibly hard to put down once i started and was gripped from start to finish, i may even read it twice. For anyone who is interested in this subject Harold the doll is definitely among the top contenders! I do hope Anthony will sequel this book and i wish all those involved and effected my very best wishes, especially little Vincent.

I would tell anyone interested in haunted dolls and paranormal to buy this book. It is such a page turner and had my heart racing right up until the last page. It truly gave me sleepless nights and as much as I wanted Harold to budge from my mind he just would not go! The book is well written and no stone is left unturned. A fab book, be prepared to be well and truly spooked.

I purchased this book for my kindle just before going on holiday so i would finally get time to relax and read it with no interruptions.Well i really wasn't disappointed after reading other reviews and from having been following the story of harold on Anthony's Facebook page .I could not put the book down i had to keep reading it , it was soooo enthralling and had you hooked after the first chapter.This is one book you will not be disappointed in purchasing and I'm really hoping that there is going to be a follow up :) .So stop reading the reviews and goooo buy the book you know that you really want to read it lol .

Having just seen the Ghost Adventures episode that includes this doll I was keen to read more about it, the book is massive and gives alot of details on how the doll was bought, came to be on Ghost Adventures etc. I have yet to read it properly but it looks like it'll be brilliant.
