It did what they said it would do, but the other concentrated brand on Amazon covers 5 times the area for the same price. I would not buy this again.

I bought the 64oz pre mixed of the brown(not concentrate) and used a back pack pump sprayer to apply. Coverage was very close to 1000 sq ft. Color was ok. I was working with untreated mulch from chipdrop.com so the mulch needed a lot of coloring. I think it would have worked better with old store bought colored mulch that had faded and that it will be better when i reapply in the spring. We did have some serious rain a few weeks after application and the color stayed so I am happy about that.Overall, i felt it was a good product for the price.

First off it would not come out of the container. I went to the customer service through the company directly and they suggested turning it upside down which didn’t work. After an hour of messing with it I finally pulled the line off of the nozzle and used a compressor to blow air into it. After a few tries it finally broke the blockage but then shot out because of course the nozzle wasn’t on it. Quick put the nozzle on but lost some in the process. Covered about 300 sq ft with the rest. It came out as more of a heavy stream/drops. I did the math and it’s cheaper just to buy bagged mulch and put in a light layer. If it came out in a fine mist and spread evenly I’d consider it again but the incidental spray of the edging block isn’t worth the mess. Better off putting on a light fresh layer of mulch each year. I can see it working for rubber mulch well though since the replacement is more expensive.

Because it didn’t give directions for adding water we used it full strength needless to say it didn’t go far.

This product clogged the sprayer that came with it and an extra Hudson sprayer we had in the garage. Works in the sense that it dyed the mulch. It also dyed the house, concrete, my feet, etc. Didn't come with clear instructions. We ended up spraying the dye and watering it in to spread the color.Would not order again.

It’s a messy dye. I prefer to re-lay much more expensive black mulch pre-made. But if you’re careful in pouring & use, though it’s a bit overrated as advertised for re-covering existing old mulch, it does work sufficiently. It also works (& is underrated, in coloring your own woodchips to create your own black mulch. Overall, I’d rate this product as good & worth the cost if you want to do the extra work as an alternative.

It rain about 4 hours after applying product, and I had very, very little wash off. -Great Product

The liquid is too thick for the sprayer and clogs it up. That is a problem for most battery sprayers spraying thick paint
