Nice thick plush carpet tiles, easy to cut to size, it feels good walking on it with bare feet and the rubber backing adds insulation as well on my cold floor. The glue is different than anticipated. While it sticks well and holds up good to traffic and vacuuming it can be easily pulled up and repositioned after it's put down without loosing stickiness. Couple of weeks after installation I tripped and spilled my hot chocolate on thankfully only one 18inch tile. Pulled it up and replaced it with a leftover tile. Quick and simple. I bought these carpet tiles because I have no room to move my living room furniture to while putting down wall to wall carpet and some pieces are to heavy for me to lift over a half rolled out carpet. With the tiles, which I stuck directly on my ugly laminate flooring, I only had to move the furniture a few feet over and slid them back into place on the new carpet (I used sliders under the furniture). They cost more per square foot than wall to wall carpet but are much more convenient to install.

I had to get 4 packs- the small 50 sq foot room turned out larger- lol. The product seems to be made with environment in mind, but also the installation ease. There are some fuzzies that come apart from edging, but hopefully they will stop at I have merged other tiles along the edge pretty tightly. Big suggestion is to follow the arrow on back that shows which direction to lay them. This is the only way to ensure the merge lines are as discreet as possible. Colors are slightly old fashioned but okay for what I needed. I have a well prepped old linoleum that is not floating and the sticking adhesive worked like a charm. Project complete.

No adhesive on the back at all, this is essentially $8 garbage. There was nothing to peel off of the back to get to the adhesive layer, it was just foam that had a couple of slightly sticky spots. Tried to find a film to peel off to expose adhesive and just ended up pulling off a chunk of foam. Even the sticker they put on the back with information about the carpet pulled out a chunk of foam. You might as well just light $8 on fire rather than buy this product.

We just completed installing these Smart Square carpet tiles in our 340 square foot basement game room. We needed 17 boxes to complete the job of covering old vinyl tile. After talking to a carpet installer about our situation, he recommended we paint the old floor with some floor paint to provide a good surface for the carpet tiles to adhere to. We chose instead to use a mold and mildew primer paint. After the paint dried, we took a sample tile and stuck to floor to see how well it would adhere and found it adhered great. Upon inspecting the many boxes of tiles, we discovered the tiles varied greatly in size. Rather than being 18 inches square, we found tiles that would be 18 inches one direction but short of 18 inches in the opposite direction. Some squares were as much as 3/16 of an inch off on one side. This made for a difficult install since I had to comb through piles of squares looking for those tiles that had same measurements. Regardless, even using tiles of the same size, it is nearly impossible to avoid having a seam show no matter how well the tiles fit together. Since we were putting the carpet in a game room it does matter that much. The included pad makes for a comfortable feel.

Very good quality, extra easy to install. If a 40 year old woman and 14 year old teenage girl can install this, anyone can, lol. And the finished product looked and felt great. Unless you told someone these are carpet tiles, you couldn't even tell. Even cutting them was easy. Minimal tools required.

Could use more thickness of padding. seams show. Maybe more carpet fibers per sq inch would help. Like walking on a cheap carpet I would NOT do this again!

Worked well for carpet slip on boat trailer.

Does not stick good and will come off easily. I even tried putting additional super glue. But it was thick. Can’t find the right color for my carpet as well.

Absolutely a fantastic item, I put in my van home and it changed the look. Loved the easy installation and looks.

I would recommend using a spray adhesive on the floor prior to installation as this one isn't super sticky. We installed these carpet tiles in my father's living room and they are holding up quite well.

This might be useful for a craft, or something--Idk. However, it isn't at all functional for its actual purpose. The back-side is barely sticky at all, and the rug sample itself is falling apart.
