Crabs or Kitchenware?
I wanted crab nets. What kind of crabs can you get with this? Really! The description did not explain that is was simply a "crab net" hanging kitchen basket. What are these really intended for?

south bend 2 ring crab net
The material is a little too weak to take this product on a crabbing trip, but if you want a crab net just for decorating purposes, it's perfect. It can hold several things, as long as they don't weigh too much, because I put a few too many things in it, and it did bow the upper ring a little. But I definitely would not advise anyone to try to use this net for crabbing.

Please don't buy this
I bought the item and you definitely can not go crabbing with this..it's a toy like thing. it's small the ring are wires basicly the net won't hold any weight.

Cotton mesh and thin rings.
I thought this would be more substantial. It would be better to save the money and put it towards a better net.

How to make better ...
These crab nets are available for about $2.50 in any reputable bait shop or sporting goods store. First thing that needs to be done is loose that hook at the top. If you don't, chances are really good that you'll lose your net. Also, make sure the hanging line are secure to the top hoop. I like to remove the cotton lines altogether and replace them with nylon line. It lasts longer and will not rot after getting wet and if your net gets hung up you'll have a better chance of recovery.
