These cookie stamps make cookies that are beautiful and unique with raised patterns not embossed ones. The trick with these is to get the right consistently of the dough - not too soft, put lots of flour on both sides of the dough (not in the stamp), press down very hard until the stamp edges actually touch the bench surface, (excess mixture squashs out) then carefully get it out of the stamp . Refrigerate both before and after cutting/stamping to keep the best pattern surface. The only thing I dont like is the cookie edges being raggedy, but I go over them with a sharp plastic cutter and they look awesome.! My favorite!!

Used last night with mixed results. Instructions said make a 1” ball of dough. Not big enough. I used probably an inch and a half ball. It takes some experience to press 1) in the center; 2) hard enough to make it fill the design. Had a bit of trouble getting out, so I dipped the stamp in flour each time before using it. That worked better, and did not affect the cookie in appearance or taste, but still needed to use a very thin knife point to get it started. Overall happy with my first effort.

Our girls loved stamping the cookies we made from the Nordic cookie recipe we found online. There is a learning curve in getting the dough to release, but after we got the hang of it, they work great! After using them twice to make multiple batches of cookies, one of the handles came off. I hope the glue holds up for the next time.
