at the time when i ordered this item there didn't seem to be too many choices on amazon for this cable with the gold plated option, so i choose this one. when i received the cable it was the correct cable but not "gold plated". thats why i gave it three stars. the company who sold it on amazon quickly gave me a refund so that made up for the mistake. the cable i received was just like the gold plated one but without the gold. the cable itself is fine and works. im sure if you get the correct gold plated cable it will be fine but since i never got it i can't really say for sure.

The cables, I received are not gold plated. It seems to be a common issue with this listing. Amazon should just remove this listing since the item is misrepresented. If you want generic non gold plated cable, there are much cheaper options on Amazon. If you want cables with gold-plated contacts, the likelihood, you are going to get it using this listing seems to be very low, so save yourself a hassle of returning a three dollar cable and look for something else.

the gold plated item i ordered is not what i got in the mail.it was a piece of junk from china with no gold contacts like i was supposed to get.plus they did not have the right item in stock as was in their listing.
