I can't remember all the details from the original product description, but this fan is absolutely fantastic. It comes with 12 different speed settings, runs super quietly, and actually moves a ton of air. It oscillates smoothly, has a built-in timer, and best of all—the display control lights shut off automatically after about a minute. That means you get complete, pitch-black darkness along with a peaceful, cool breeze for sleep. If you're looking for a powerful, ultra-quiet fan that won't keep you up with annoying bright lights, this is it. Easily the best fan I've ever owned!

I have purchased many stand up fans over the years as I have a big family! I was hesitant at first to purchase this fan as it was a bit more expensive than others I have bought at my local Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart or Target however, I did and I am very happy. Here are the Pros and Cons. *Here Are The Pros: This fan is very easy to assemble and I have really bad arthritis & fibromyalgia and I was able to assemble it with no problem. It took 5-10 minutes at tops. I really like the base as it was heavy duty and not going to crack or cause the fan to wobble or fall over. This was a big plus as I have purchased other fans where the base was flimsy or eventually cracked, causing the fan to fall to the side rendering it useless. The fan speeds are a great option and all seem to work well. From the lowest speed to the highest speed, I was pleased with all levels of air. This fan is for a 12x 15 living room and it was very strong and did the job. The noise reduction feature was also a big plus. *Here Is The Cons: The snap to hold the fan together at the base of the fan is plastic and I would have preferred it to be metal. Also, with such a beautiful fan and all the bells and whistle‘s that it offers, I would have liked a nice slick black remote for this fan. It came with a bright white plain, cheap looking remote. *Overall: With that being said... I still gave this fan (5)*****STARS! It is a heavy duty great fan🤗 UPDATE: Many have stated in their reviews that the “Remote Control” needs to be right in front of the fan in order to work! I found this to be the case as well. It needs to be directly in front of the fan within a few feet away. It will not work from a far distance or behind. I still will stick with my 5*****’s as it is a great fan! Just needs those couple miner tweaks in its manufacturing of this nice fan🤗

A bit of backstory, I've spent the last month looking for a new bedroom fan to replace the ten year old junk fan we had. I've bought about 10 different fans ranging in price from $30-75 from Walmart, Amazon, Sam's Club and Home Depot. Tried 3 different Lasko 5 blade DC motor fans from Sam's too. Every single one had badly balanced blades and mediocre stability. The AC motor fans weren't much more efficient than our old junker. The old 16" fan used 20-60w between the 1-3 settings. I took a chance on this Pelonis based on the reviews and the manual. The base is heavy and stable, the motor is quiet and as efficient as comparable DC motor fans, the features all seem to work well, and it's super quiet. Using my power meters, this fan pushes an impressive amount of air under 10W and tops out at roughly 37W at max power. Half of the power range is under 10W and moves a great deal of air. It's impressive how quiet everything is and how nicely balanced the blades were. Even the packaging was better on this unit vs everything else. The assembly wasn't too bad, the fit between the main post and the motor unit was a tad snug. Working the fan cage ring on took a few minutes too, but overall I'd say it was quite easy. The only negative I can see is the price and the 1 year warranty, but I feel that I got my money's worth if this lasts a few years. Either way, the power savings are significant. I bought the Pelonis 16" oscillating fan in July 2023, and it has proven to be a reliable and impressive purchase. Nearly two years later, it’s still going strong, with no need to replace the batteries in the remote—a testament to its durability. The fan has a premium fit and finish, especially when compared to typical $30–$40 fans found at big-box stores. While it’s not a luxury item, it looks sleek and well-crafted for what it is—a functional fan, not a decorative centerpiece. One of its standout features is how quiet it is on the first three speed settings, while still delivering enough airflow to create a noticeable cooling effect. At higher speeds, the noise increases significantly, but so does the air output, which is powerful and effective for larger spaces. My only minor complaint is a slight whirring noise from the oscillating mechanism at lower speeds. It’s not loud enough to be a dealbreaker, but I’ve noticed it enough to occasionally turn off the oscillation. Thankfully, the fan moves enough air even without oscillation, so this hasn’t been a major issue. Before buying, I compared this to the Rowenta VU 5670, an 18" fan that seemed excellent but was priced at $149 in 2023 (though cheaper now). The Rowenta’s higher cost, longer delivery time, and fewer speed settings led me to choose the Pelonis. I haven’t regretted it. The Pelonis offers fantastic value for the money, and I’m planning to purchase another soon due to its performance and longevity. I have two Honeywell QuietSet oscillating fans – which were kind of the undisputed champs for quiet fans. Eventually one of them started to hum after about 6 years of use and so wasn’t as quiet (still better than a normal fan, but louder than I wanted). Unfortunately, I guess they have been discontinued or something because I can only find them on Amazon at a whopping $180. So after reading a BILLION reviews, this seems to be the current quietest fan out there and I paint just shy of $80. So lets compare! I put my still properly functioning Honeywell fan and the Pelonis about 7 feet from my favorite chair making sure both were exactly the same height (the Pelonis is capable of a few more inches in height) and both pointing directly at me. For most of the Honeywell’s 5 speeds I could find an exact duplicate based upon how much wind I felt (shirt off… I was going for accuracy!). The Pelonis is capable of both a little higher wind speed and a little lower. At low speeds and equal wind power, the noise from both was slightly different, but ultimately equal in terms of how bothersome, or how much you can hear it over a quiet television (virtually silent). In the middle range, the Honeywell was the clear winner as you can hear the buffeting from the fan blades on the Pelonis. The overall loudness was similar, but the texture of the sound was much better on the Honeywell and blends into other ambient noise (like a TV) considerably better – the Pelonis was more “annoying” sounding. It’s still very good, but not as good. The sound from the Honeywell was more of halfway between brown and pink noise wash sound whereas the Pelonis sounded more like buffeting (like a motor type sound). At the top speed for the Honeywell, the annoyance of the noise was still in favor of the Honeywell, but it was not as drastic of a difference vs. the middle speeds. One advantage of the Pelonis is that the oscillating feature is available on the remove. And it does go a couple inches taller if you need to clear an obstruction like a couch. I found the 12 speeds utterly ridiculous and didn’t like having to hit the button so many times. The 5 speeds of the Honeywell are enough. The Pelonis fan is quiet heavy due to a weighted base. If you are older and maybe frail, then this one might be hard to move around. On the flip side, if you have kids that are completely out of control, the extra stability might be nice if they will be crashing into it constantly if you put it in a high traffic area. It’s certainly overkill with the weighted base IMO. Although the assembly instructions are fully complete, they are not laid out well. Not a problem for me, but if you are the type of person that struggles with assembly instructions, you will find them frustrating. I’m very sensitive to fan noise and I really dislike it. So for me this fan is a win. It’s a slight downgrade from the fan in replaced so I keep the one good Honeywell in the living room where it’s most important and put the Pelonis elsewhere.

I am very satisfied with the performance and appearance of this Pelonis DC fan, which I have had for just a few days. When buying the fan, I had some question about the durability of a DC motor design. That question can only be resolved with time. Otherwise, the fan is unusually quiet and efficient, quite impressive. I have no complaints about the control device, but any design will not satisfy everyone (see one star complaints). I have also noticed that some of the one star reviews seem to indicate a misunderstanding of the installation procedures. For one example, the knob for the fan blades must be removed by turning it clockwise (not counterclockwise as one might first expect). I confess that I tried at first to remove the knob by turning it counterclockwise, as in the removal of a screwtop jar. But this is a turning fan and requires a reverse screw type.

Bravo! I bought two of these to replace a very similar looking ac motor powered fan, actually two of them. As dc motor fans have come out and are now becoming a thing I decided to measure power used. On full, speed 12, I’m using about 1/2 of the watts than the basics fans I had. Since I run my fans all year and most of the day and night, it was a waste of money on my electric bill. Like everyone I need to save money too. So they are probably made by same company, overseas. But at 1/2 or less of the wattage used, I can’t complain. Yes you have to spend money to replace them but can use the others for donations or in other rooms that only use them occasionally. These constant running fans will save me for sure. Each LED lightbulb we have are usually about 9.5 watts so let’s say 10 watts. If one fan running on fastest speed from the ac motor generation uses 60 watts, it’s like leaving on 6 LED lightbulbs. With these, on highest speed, they use about 3 LED lightbulbs worth of electricity. However one distinction here is that these don’t need to run on full blast to generate amount of air the ac motor fans did. So these, on speed 8 which is more than fast was on the ac motor powered fans, I’m using just about 13 watts or slightly more than a single LED lightbulb. Note: I measured power consumption without oscillating on, that feature adds a small additional amount of wattage about 2-3 watts. I tell you all of this because if you are considering a fan, go with a dc motor fan to save energy and save money on your electric bill. Also if power is out and using a battery power unit or generator you’ll use a lot less of that source to power them during the outages. I was surprised it came better than I thought. Wasn’t sure how it would come as some reviews has stated is cheap and breaks. The quality isn’t as good as I’d expect due to the price being so high. It is mainly plastic but it does have lots of air flow and it’s quiet enough. I don’t regret the purchase, over priced but works as intended.

Lo tengo desde hace aproximadamente un año y me ha funcionado muy bien. El peso me parece equilibrado .. no es demasiado pesado, pero tampoco se siente frágil o muy ligero. La instalación fue sencilla y el diseño se ve bien. En cuanto al ruido, es bastante silencioso hasta la velocidad 6 o 7. Después de eso sí empieza a escucharse un poco más, pero el sonido sigue siendo ligero y no me parece molesto. El control remoto es muy práctico, porque puedo cambiar la velocidad, activar o desactivar la oscilación y ajustarlo sin tener que levantarme. En general, me parece un ventilador cómodo, silencioso y práctico para uso diario.

I bought this fan for my wife after our old one broke. This was way more expensive than any other fan I purchased, but it has totally been worth it. It was very easy to assemble, even for a dummy like me. We've had it almost a year and my wife still tells me how much she loves it. There are 12 speeds I think, and it is very quiet, and very powerful. I like the fact that you can set a timer on it where it will shut off after so many hours, that way you don't burn out the motor. I like the remote with it, it works well, and feels comfortable in your hand. They also sell this fan in black, I didn't realize that until after I purchased it or I would have bought a black one. I will probably give this one to one of my kids and purchase a black one this summer.

Tengo poco tiempo con él por lo que no se que pase al año o mas. Por el momento todo muy bien. Bonito y silencioso (suficiente para dormir)
