Philips Over Ear Wired Stereo Headphones for Podcasts, Studio Monitoring and Recording Head
Overview: Great Entry-Level Gear for Creators If you are looking for an affordable, reliable entry into audio production, these Philips over-ear headphones (specifically models like the SHP2000 or SHP2500) offer surprising performance at a budget-friendly price point. While they won't replace high-end audiophile gear, they are an excellent starting point for podcasters and hobbyist recorders. Key Features Detailed Audio Performance: Equipped with 40mm neodymium drivers, these headphones deliver clear sound and impactful bass that helps you catch nuances during recording. Extended 6-Meter Cable: One of the standout features is the extra-long 6-meter (approx. 20ft) cord, giving you plenty of room to move around a studio or sit back from a TV or computer. Universal Compatibility: It includes a 3.5mm to 6.3mm (1/4") adapter, making it easy to switch between your smartphone, computer, and professional audio interfaces or keyboards. Lightweight Comfort: Designed for long sessions, the adjustable headband and luxurious ear cushions help reduce ear fatigue and prevent excessive sound leakage. The Verdict These headphones are a solid "bang-for-your-buck" choice. They provide the passive noise isolation needed to focus on your mix while remaining lightweight enough to wear for hours. Pros: Extremely affordable. Massive cable length for studio flexibility. Crisp sound quality for the price. Cons: Maximum volume can be a bit lower than more expensive models on some devices. Mostly plastic build requires careful handling. Would you like me to compare these to other entry-level studio monitors?

Excellent Sound and Value at an Affordable Price
The Philips P2000 is a solid pair of headphones for everyday use. They’re comfortable to wear, feel well built, and deliver clear sound that works well for music and casual listening. Setup was simple, just plug in the headphone jack and that's it. They’ve been reliable so far, especially compared to my JBL headphones, which constantly disconnect. In my humble opinion, for $19.99, the quality is impressive. Shipping was also excellent; my order arrived in just 2 days from California. Overall, a great value and a great buying experience.

The cord is waaaaaay longer than I ever expected!
I bought the silver headphones. I just wanted some headphones so I could listen to my records and not wake up the whole house. When I first took them out, I liked they way they looked and Philips is a well known brand. I also liked the fact that I could connect the headphones with two different jacks. What I wasn’t prepared for was the extremely long cord!! I’ve never owned headphones like this. I can walk to another bedroom and not tug on the cord. I took a close look at the box and it says TV listening 6m. That’s 6 meters! I didn’t want TV headphones, but that’s what I was sent. I looked back on the product page and the video even says 2m. That would have been better. I guess in the bright side is that I can walk around my office room and have enough cord to walk around. The sound quality is decent. Wish it had more bass, but it could just be the record player. I do like the feel of the fabric ear pads and the volume control wheel on the cord itself. I won’t return them, but just want you to be aware.

Sounds Muffled
I bought these mainly to use when working on my desktop, playing a few games, or watching videos on my desktop. I also recently started to get into music production and thought I would get a new set of headphones. I was a little displeased to find out that these sound a bit muffled or lower in volume compared to my last pair of Sennheiser headphones. Now these headphones where not your $200 headphones. I received them free when I made a purchase of something else so they may have been a comparable value to these of $15-$30. The headphones over all are comfortable but after extended usage you begin to feel a slight pressure on your ears. I did end up deciding to return and got a pair of Mackie headphones which had much better sound quality.

The 20 dollar king of over ear headphones
Best 20 dollar over ear closed back ever. If you need a good gaming headphone that can provide ok music fun. BE warned though , its 20 dollars for a reason. These will wear out and break with in 3 years its not and if but when. The plastic that is the headband is not good and breaks happen near the slide adjustment arm. Best bet is to set the size you want and basically tape it solid or any other method to lock the arms solid in place to the rest of the plastic. The other thing is the cable is ungodly long and non detachable and the cables go into each speaker separately. This is like a great modders headphone if you wanna get rid of the cable and make the headband stronger.

Utter garbage. Be prepared to crank the volume to 11 to hear anything.
Complete garbage. I assumed that because the headphones were made by Phillips, it would at least have some resemblance of quality. I was wrong. First, there are two things that I actually like about them. One, is they are a little larger than my last pair so they fit my fat head better. Not great, but better. Second, I wanted a wired set and the length of the cable is very long. Which is convenient for me because my desktop computer sits a little far away. Now, the part that makes them junk. There is one gigantic flaw that cannot be overcome. That problem is with the volume. I have to turn the volume up on my computer to almost the max so that I can hear anything. And this isn't an exaggeration. I would say my volume is at 95% for listening to news broadcasts on YouTube. Before you ask, I did have the browser volume up all the way as well. I tested my computer output using a cheap pair of earbuds and they work great when the volume is around 50%. Granted, the earbuds are blasting "directly" into my ears, but I've worn headphones long enough to know when there is a problem. I do not recommend these.
