FZONE Aquatic Glass Lily Pipe Set with Skimmer Inflow and Outflow for Aquarium Filter 5/8''(16/22mm) Tubing

These are great Lily Pipes, I love the quality and the thickness of the glass, I however have a shrimp tank, and had to “scrap” the surface skimmer. Even though I could put filter foam in it, it would either bob up and down or just get sucked down, even with a o ring or zip tie. So I ended up using a filter intake sponge on the top and also a larger one on the bottom to protect my shrimp and improve flow. The suction cups could use improvement, but that’s easily fixable with all the extra cups I have left from other things. Overall the fit and finish and the value for the money, is great. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a lily pipe set for their canister filter. No leakage, and installation was easy as sliding them into the 5/8or 17mm vinyl tubing I have.

Amazing surface skimmer! Took some fiddling and adjusting, but now works like a charm wothout bobbing or dipping. It even works with a mesh lid on the tank, and I love that it automatically adjusts to whatever the water level is. Very very nice! No noise at all, and fit some standard tubing for a canister filter.

I totally enjoy the clean look of the lily pipes along with clear tubing. Fitment was good although using on a non rimless tank may require some modification of tank and the inside distance on the U bend is narrow. First results were beautiful, skimming well and clean water until a couple of days later when the bobbing started. Cleaned the tube even though it looked clean and returned the skimmer and all was good until the next day when bobbing returned. Adding an o-ring to skimmer pipe reduces the amount of bobbing. Tried various settings of the lower inlet but still had issues until I purchased an alternate spiral skimmer top which is also less visible. Customer service was very helpful trying to address my bobbing issue. Bottom line, I recommend the this product and would buy again but might require alternate solutions of the skimmer top. Quality of pipes are very nice but skimmer is not as clear as I would have liked. Others reviews show people not having issue so it might be related to filter and tank setup. Pictures show original skimmer with oring and current setup with new skimmer. Last two images are alternate skimmer.

I bought this because I liked the clear pipes going into my aquarium. Added some clear hoses & it is very nice to look at. Water flow is good. The little guppies love playing in the output side. If you’re looking for a cleaner look for your Fluval 307 or any of them get this. I would suggest using the clear braided hoses. The completely clear hoses are not strong enough.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after what happened in my aquarium, I feel obligated to warn other hobbyists. The glass quality and aesthetics are excellent. The lily pipes look beautiful on a rimless planted tank and the outflow performed well. Unfortunately, aesthetics are where my praise ends. I purchased this skimmer intake specifically because I wanted a clean, high-end appearance while still keeping my livestock safe. I assumed the floating skimmer design would prevent fish and shrimp from being pulled into the filter. Unfortunately, that assumption proved incorrect. The floating skimmer section appears capable of moving below the waterline or becoming stuck in a position where livestock can access the intake. At some point during normal operation, the skimmer was no longer safely floating at the surface and became a direct hazard. The result was devastating: * One Strawberry Rasbora was lost. * One Amano shrimp was found inside the canister filter and was fortunately rescued. * My Betta was sucked through the intake system and into the canister filter. The Betta survived the initial incident but suffered visible injuries including scale and fin damage. Despite rescue and supportive care, he ultimately died from the injuries sustained. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I actively tried to prevent exactly this scenario. I intentionally positioned and monitored the skimmer at the surface because I was concerned about livestock safety from the beginning. The design simply did not provide the level of protection I expected. If you keep: * Bettas * Boraras species (Chili Rasboras, Strawberry Rasboras, etc.) * Shrimp (Amano, Neocaridina, Caridina) * Small tetras * Juvenile fish I strongly recommend avoiding this skimmer intake entirely or installing a very secure guard before livestock ever enters the aquarium. The product is undeniably attractive, but after losing a fish I cared about, I have learned that aesthetics should never come before animal welfare. I am returning this skimmer and replacing it with a standard non-skimmer intake. For larger fish-only systems, your experience may be different. For planted tanks containing small fish and shrimp, I cannot recommend this product.

Be careful with this item. Skins great but will also allow fish to get sucked into your filter system. My fish were large enough I did not think it would be an issue but lost a couple hundred dollars on fish to this murder machine.

This is a high quality glass lily pipe set. I was using a more expensive set prior to this, but it broke while cleaning it. I got this one as it was less expensive, and I've been really happy with it. The skimmer works very well. After my old glass return & skimmer broke, I was using a plastic return without a skimmer and was surprised how quickly the surface got loaded up with debris and oils. Within a few minutes of installing this one, the surface was crystal clear. If you have a planted aquarium or rimless aquarium I highly recommend it.

EXTREMELY great value. Pipes of similar design are > $90 at some stores just for the intake pipe. Nice design and looks great in the aquarium. My only design note is that the outflow lily pipe definitely sits quite close to the surface, so be sure that works for your planned flow. The intake skimmer removed the surface scum in my aquarium in < 20 mins but left the floating plants alone. Also, these are definitely made of real glass (except the skimmer, which is floating plastic), and quite fragile/brittle glass at that. I had a really unfortunate accident where I snapped the tube in two places. But they sell the intake/outtake separately, so it was super easy to replace. Definitely good pipes, Just be careful with them.

Excellent quality glass lily pipe set. The crystal clear glass is beautifully made and giving the aquascape a clean, professional look. Water flow is smooth and gentle, improving circulation without disturbing plants or livestock. Easy to install, fits perfectly, and arrived well packaged. A fantastic upgrade for any planted tank!
