Cressi Skin - Adult Versatile Full Suit for Water Sport, Warmth and Sun Protection

I am 5’4” and 120 lbs, bought a medium. I tried both small and medium. Small felt like compression wear, medium was just perfect. It’s easier to adjust once you’re in the water and easy to take off under shower. Excellent sun protection capability. Zipper felt strong. Stays in place. Can move very easily without any drag in the water. Good material. Attached photo where you can see the sun damage where my hand wasn’t covered in 1 hour of swimming.

I really love cressi products. This skin doesn’t disappoint. It’s full length, I’m 5’5” and there is room in the length. I bought this for a shark dive that requires full coverage dark skins and it’s perfect. The stirrups even keep it tucked into my booties. I love that the zipper and collar provide a pop of color and it feels stylish, while also being very functional and providing full coverage protection from the sun and jellyfish. There is zero warmth provided from this, and it is not neoprene or 1mm anything just to clarify. I saw that on here somewhere, which is false. It is just a full length skin/rash guard. Note: you have to put it on like a wetsuit (ie both arms in the sleeves at once and then pull it up) to make it easier to put on and to not put too much pressure on the zipper. This is a great warm water skin. I’ll update after my next dive with it.

I am an open ocean endurance swimmer in Hawaii where the water is too warm for a wet suit and I’m very allergic to sea lice stings. This suit protects me and offers a tiny bit of insulation. I don’t have an issue getting in or out of it. I wear a regular swimsuit underneath. I’m 5’ 10” and wear the large. Fits great. I find the quality to be good. I put it in a mesh laundry bag and wash it in the washing machine every time I wear it.

I just received my suit and tried it on. Fits well and I'm looking forward to using this for paddleboarding. My only reason(s) for less than 5 stars (and I'd love the option to give 4.5) is that firstly mine didn't come quite as pictured. I ordered the black and silver and mine came with a black zipper instead of the silver as pictured. Not a huge deal.... but not what I ordered. Secondly, the thumb straps do not appear to be lined up correctly for being usable over my thumbs and they're pretty small .... they cut off circulation (I don't have big hands so I imagine a man might find them more challenging). The arm material has to be twisted a bit to reach the thumb... not comfortable at all. It seems more in line with my forefinger but any stretching to reach either finger causes the material to roll back in stead of down for more coverage. I think part of this problem is caused by the thumb holes not being sewn to the end of the arm but down about a half inch inside the arm at the cuff seam. Its position is more in line with the forefinger but doesn't work on either. Any pulling at all to put on the forefinger or thumb rolls it back. So I'll not be using the thumb holes..... might try to fashion something myself if needed. Minor things really. I was just very excited to find a skin suit noted to be for taller people. I have long legs and arms, I'm busty (34E)but I'm not particularly large elsewhere with a shorter torso (5'9 150lbs.... typically wear a size 8 or 10). So far this suit seems to fit me just right. The legs are long enough that the stirrups don't pull the crotch down into penguin mode (long legged people KNOW what I'm talking about..... pantyhose were ALWAYS a nightmare experience). Women's clothing has always been too short in the arms as well.... so I'm happy to report this suit adequately reaches all the way over my wrists... Yay! If I remember, I'll update after my first real usage. So far so good. Hoping to have many sun protected paddleboard outings with this suit.

Bought one for my son to wear under his wet suit during his open water testing. He is 5'5" and weights 125 with a slender, athletic build. A medium fit correctly with a little room to grow. Since he has very little body fat as a younger teen, it runs just a little long on him. He has no real horizontal growth to use up the extra fabric. A small would have certainly been too small, and a large would have been equally wrong. I am an an advanced certified diver. I have a similar skin made by a different company, but the material and build are similar. I have no doubt this will withstand quite a bit of use as mine has done. It looks well made and having experience with the material of my own suit, I know it will do well under the wet suit. My only concern is that the front zipper does not come down as far as mine and as others have mentioned, it will have to come off the shoulders to use the bathroom. This is a minor difficulty however...just a note. Overall, happy with the purchase.

I am NOT a super-hero! (That was just a rumor) I wanted a suit to snorkel in and protect me from the Portuguese Man-Of-Wat jellyfish that drift around Hawaii and other locales I plunge into. The fabric is insanely elastic, the zipper just enough to easy donning, and the foot and thumb loops are helpful too. The style is quiet, and no one will rush up to me and exhort me to save the city! Great fit, easy care, light weight for travel to tropical waters. Andiamo! (Cressi Sub is an Italian company, dummy!)

I needed to return the product due to poor sizing. The quality of the skin is very good, but with a long torso, it is a challenge despite being a lean build. I ordered my regular size confirmed on the size chart but the torso is so very short. The shoulders in particular are cut narrow so movement would be close to impossible for swimming. I also found the calves to be snug even though my legs are not heavy. I pondered a larger size but I believe the proportions are very off and it would result in another return. I wanted this to work due to the excellent spf. If you are 5'5 or taller for a woman I would encourage at least 2 sizes larger than your normal which would be challenging to swim in.

I am 5'9" 180lbs ordered a med, the fit is perfict to slip my wetsuit on over. Adds a layer or warmth.

Being new to open water swimming the description of this led me to believe it actually was 1mm thick and could thus be worn to add an extra layer of warmth under the wetsuit. But no, this is incredibly thin, far thinner than even my thinnest swimsuit. The worst thing about it though is that the zip does not go anything like far enough down to slip it off your shoulders even when dry. Try doing it when wet and under your dry robe or towelling poncho and I think the best contortionists would struggle!

El traje ajusta perfecto, la talla es correcta y se siente muy bien, la tela es suave y strech. Lo uso para nadar y es perfecto, te da libertad de movimiento y te abriga ligeramente. Muy satisfecha con mi compra.
