Gigaset C610H-BK Dect_6.0 1-Handset Landline Telephone

We got this as an add on to go with our other base phone. The only thing I don't like about it is that so far, I can't figure out how to make it only ring when a call comes to my extension. Right now it rings when either me or my partner gets a call and the display indicates who it is for. I think that's actually a setting we can change with our VOIP provider, we just have not done it yet. (it's apparently not that much of a bother). I do love the myriad ringtones to choose from and the different volume levels and also a variety of tones you can set. I have one playing piano music for external calls and raindrops for internal calls, etc. It has a lot of features we don't use. It's pretty cool how worldwide weather is displayed and I think you can trick it out by customizing it but we really just use it for phone calls. It's been very reliable. I have not had mine too long but my partner has had his for several months without problem. It's fairly intuitive to learn. The quality of the phone is far superior to my old one. it's substantial without feeling heavy. It does not appear, or feel, cheap. I would recommend.

I bought this phone and the much more expensive SL785, I might as well as thrown the nearly $200 I spent for both out the window. The C610H sound quality was poor at best, (consistent static) and the volume, even when set at maximum, barely usable. This was confirmed by my wife and my 20 something son with perfect hearing. A few months after I used the C610H I heard a sound like frying bacon and the phone died. This is first phone that has ever died on me. The other more expensive unit suffered from the same sound quality and volume issues and came with a base station that did not seem to be able to hold its signal. From my limited and financially painful experience this is a definite buyer beware item at best.

Totally disapointed. Too complicated to use and very messy menu for functions. Also, only one landline!! Useless! Don't recom end to spend with this!

These phones have great voice quality, range, and features, and they work perfectly with a C610 IP VoIP phone. I really want to like them. The problem is that of four gigaset products I just bought (one C610A IP and three C610H-BK's) all of the power bricks produce a hissing sound. It isn't really loud, but it's definitely noticeable from a couple feet away in a residential setting. If you can hide the power bricks behind a desk you probably won't notice the sound, but if you are sensitive to hissing electronics noises, be forewarned.

Works exactly as expected. Very happy with it, I may buy another for the other rooms in the house. arrived on time

Bought 2 of these to combine with Gigaset C610A-L410. They work great and were very easy to incorporate with the main phone. I like that these are black, since I think the color looks much better than the white.

I purchased this phone new from Amazon - I powered everything on and registered the handset to base. Then a few minutes later, it mysteriously disconnected. The handset deregistered itself and the base is unresponsive (blue light keeps flashing).A call to customer service (they answered quickly, at least) told me that I need to return the product as it's faulty. Amazon was very helpful and promised to take it back and refund the purchase.I can understand software is not perfect and problems happen. I am not giving the 1-star merely for the fact that the phone failed. It is because the base has "NO RESET BUTTON" to start over if things go wrong. On every consumer device I've had, there's some way to reset everything back to factory defaults and try again. But not on this phone (base set specifically). Very poor design, especially given that it's an expensive phone, and so the 1-star.

I am jaded, but feel like with Iphones and the such that you could get a better quality DECT phone, the screen is a bit small, and washed a bit. Don't get me wrong, for this price you get alot for you $$ compared to the cheap $29 phones, but I expect more.The layout could be better to make it simplier to switch between account and transfer phone calls. But all in all one of the best IP/DECT phone for this price, all the others are $$$ more. Great sound quality, range is decent too.
