Great China Monkey Stick

My dog loved this toy and would play with it often. However with a couple of days she had already torn a hole through the fabric which I stitched back up so she could continue to play. Now I have to do "toy surgery" about 7 times and last night she finally removed the big grunting squeaker and a bunch of stuffing. Even with my repairs this toy lasted less than a month.I am still on the lookout for a large toy that lasts...

This is the second one I had to buy. When she picks it up by the seam, after a while the seam opens up and I have to sew it close. She is a miniature poodle, and she doesn't destroy her toys. The very first one I purchased was in a pet store. That one was made well. Lasted one year. This is the second one since August that I had to buy.

Our dog has loved these stuffed monkeys for years. This last year we've had to replace her old monkey for this new one. She received it for this Christmas. Since then my wife has had to repair the monkey approx. 7 times. Our dog only been able to play with it for a few hours when we have to take it away to the stuff toy hospital. The stitching is poorly done. My Wife has repaired the stitching almost completely around the head and mouth, the arms. Pretty much every seam weak and the fabric is thin and easy is to puncture, at the rate this monkey has been repaired, in a matter of two months it will have been repaired more times then the three year old monkey . Even though we have two dogs this toy belongs to only one of them. No tug of war is allowed with this or any other stuffed toy.We now call this the Frankenmonkey since it has been stitched so much.

My labradoodle LOVES these monkeys! They are his absolute favorite toy (to the point I started ordering multiples on amazon when the local pet stores quit carrying them)The downside is that they are not made quite as well as the ones we used to find in the pet stores. The stitching is rather weak.

I have purchased two of these. The first one lasted a month before my pointer destroyed it. The second one made it less than two weeks. The dog absolutely loved it and the toy is more durable than your standard plush toy, but not durable enough that I'll buy another.

My dog, 65 lb Goldendoodle, is in love with his Monkey stick. Literally in love (read- he makes love to it). It brings him so much joy. The fabric is soft and there are several sqeekers at the paws and mouth and one big one in the middle that kind of quacks like a duck. Unfortunately, the material is not very durable and he is able to rip it apart with his shaking after about a month. I sew it back together a couple times and after about 6-8 weeks, I have to replace it. Sort of an expensive endeavor but it is his favorite toy of all time.

My standard poodle puppy received this as a gift when we first brought her home. She loves it so much we had to buy a new one to replace the old one she chewed to death, and we are getting ready to purchase another. It may be because of the size. It's a big old toy! The toy is pretty durable for a plush; it's lasted longer than others. But of course as soon as there's a hole in it, you need to replace it so the dog doesn't eat a squeaker or fiberfill and end up at the vet's. $$$

Our shepard/pointer mix loves these toys. He ends up chewing off the ears and ripping open the neck, but he still enjoys them.
