I’ve never experienced using silk pillowcases before, so I really don’t have a comparison to any other silk brand cases. I just knew I’ve read about some major benefits from using them and thought I’d give it a try.I ordered two, and both came separately wrapped in their own nice boxes. They are very soft and silky and at first I was afraid I had just purchased satin pillowcases but turns out they actually are silk cases. They are very slippery while I’m sleeping and I have to make sure they are adjusted on the bed before I lay down.I actually have noticed a huge difference in how my hair feels when I wake up and these cases really do make a difference with the frizziness and greasiness of my fine hair. It is no longer a huge mess in the morning and I have hardly any tangles now. It’s not greasy anymore. I have also noticed that my skin doesn’t seem to be breaking out as bad as when I slept on cotton pillowcases, especially around my cheeks and chin areas. I use a retinol product at night and I haven’t had any discoloration from it onto the pillows. They don’t seem to absorb oils or face creams so it all seems to actually stay on my face and not the pillow.They seem to wash up well. I wash them on delicate, alone, with no other items, mild detergent, and then I lay them out flat to dry. I am always tempted to put them into the dryer every time I wash them, because I really want to use them immediately after their clean, but the directions say to lay flat to dry and they were too much money to ruin in some way by machine drying, so I never risk it.I love the hidden zippers because they don’t interfere with my sleep and I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to actually keep the pillows inside the cases if they weren’t zippered in because the cases are so slippery. Other than getting used to the sliding around bit, I really love these pillows so far and I think they are worth it. And because I have seen an almost immediate difference in my skin and hair when I’m using them.
