Review: Great Bar mixer shower control and a very good price - Bought this to replace one that was in place in a new build. Works really well and a great price. Just as good as the more expensive versions on the market. So very easy to fit and looks really good, took me about 20 minutes without any plumbing knowledge at all. If you have a spanner big enough to undo the 2 nuts after turning the water supply off at the stopcock. Take off the old one, refit the new one (don`t forget to install the 2 rubber washers.) Fit the new one and tighten up the nuts again ( do not over tighten them) Job done. Recommend this no problem.

**Q: Which ceramic tap cartridge should I buy to replace the flow control on this mixer tap?**
A: Take it out and measure it very carefully and then go looking. you will find the important measurements when you look at what is available. They all need to be right.

**Q: with the shower bar, does it matter which side is hot and cold is connected to ?**
A: It could go either way but if the outlet is to be downwards the hot needs to be on the left. Also the thermostat setting could be difficult the other way. I believe that if you are prepared to strip it down it could be assembled diffeerently but I haven't tried it. Also, if it is to be plumbed as new It might be easier to bring in the water using  Chrome plated 15mm and surface mounted fittings which would make most of those supplied redundant.

**Q: can this be fitted with the outlet upwards?**
A: Yes but you need to change hot and cold feed over ie hot to right and cold to left

**Q: how many Liters pr min**
A: This mixer can handle high pressure, flow rate dependent on water pressure from your supply mains

Bought this to replace one that was in place in a new build. Works really well and a great price. Just as good as the more expensive versions on the market. Works as intended. I found it a very easy DIY job. Controls are very good, neither too sensitive or unresponsive. I consider this a good upgrade compared to previous taps installed. Thermostatic control gives peace of mind it won't get too hot.
