Amazing Knife at Any Price
I own around 25 folding knives the majority of which are Kershaw. The Volt SS is probably second only to my Cold Steel Recon 1. I'll give you some pros and cons and then a brief summary.Pros: ergonomics are very good. Slim, nice weight for size ratio, finger choils. Comes razor sharp, sharpest blade I've received from the factory. Gimping on top, back of blade for a secure grip (usually don't find that on a blade at this price) Gimped back spacer 3 way removable pocket clip Very snappy, fast deploymentCons: stainless steel handles may be slick when wet leading to a less stable grip so I would've preferred G-10 handle scales.SUMMARY:This is a very attractive, classy knife. Feels great in the hand and the lack of G-10 scales is offset by the gimping on the top of the blade. When you really bear down and grip the knife it feels very secure. It comes razor (no exaggeration) sharp out of the box. It is a large blade but due to the mid weight and very thin profile, it carries in the pocket like a much smaller knife. I can't believe of all the Kershaws I own it took me this long to purchase the Volt SS. It's easily my favorite Kershaw I own. I really can't say enough good things about this knife. It's overall fit and finish, and functionality make it a must buy if you're a collector or if you just need a great affordable knife. It's definitely my favorite EDC (every day carry) knife and could be used in a defensive role if you had to due to the gimping. One last thing: the blade steel is 8CR13MOV. It is a good budget steel (mid grade) that takes a nice edge and is easily sharpened unlike some premium steels that may hold an edge longer but are exponentially more time consuming to sharpen. If you are on the fence about buying this knife, go ahead and get it. Trust me when I say you will not regret it.

My favorite EDC knife ever
Simple design, easy to handle and easier yet to open. Takes an edge easy and holds it. Nothing worse than a dull knife and this one never is. I love it.I recently had to surrender my knife to TSA because I forgot it was in my pocket and was heading to board a plane. I was so disappointed but got a replacement for a great price and delivered in a reasonable time frame so I'm happy again!

My New Favorite Pocket Carry
I've finished comparing my recently acquired Volt SS to my other Kershaw flipper-actuated SpeedSafe knives with approximately 3.5-inch blades. These include the Piston, Thermite, Cryo II, Scrambler, and RJ 1. Obvioiusly, I'm a collector, but I also carry. My perennial question: Which knife should I choose for my every-day pocket carry? Because I like them all, I decided upon a rational approach in which I compared all their closed lengths and weights, and also calculated the ratio between the two, in ounces per inch. The ratios ranged from 0.80 (for the Piston) to 1.25 (for the Cryo II).Some people prefer the more solid feel that comes with a higher ratio, while others are really into knives that are light for their length. For clipped into my pocket carry, I want a weight that's under 4.5 ounces. What feels best in my hand is a weight-to-length ratio that's close to 1.00. I would also prefer to carry the shortest (closed-length) knife that can still accommodate a 3.5" blade. Those were the considerations that moved the Volt SS to the top of my list for every-day pocket carry. The Kershaw 1985ST RJ 1 SpeedSafe knife earned a second place. Because of the RJ 1's rugged G-10 handle and tactical blade design, it's new home is now on the belt of my "Urban Survival" fanny-pack. If you're looking for a 3.5" EDC knife, both of these are certainly worth a careful look and much fondling. The all-steel Volt SS has the shortest closed length of the bunch (4.25") and weighs in at 4.3 oz. With a ratio of 1.01, the knife is comfortable in my pocket and feels just right in my hand. Its smooth handles make it very easy to pull quickly from my pocket. I carry in a tip-up position, and with a thumb in my pocket and a rearward draw, my index finger lands right on the flipper. I have no complaints about the smoothness of the handles because the jimping on the blade and glass-filled nylon handle spacer, along with a shallow choil that's augmented by the opened flipper, gives me all the traction I need in either sabre or reverse grip. The RJ Martin design, with its elegant, bead-blasted handles and clip-point blade, is absolutely gorgeous. The blade's absence of thumb-studs is what I prefer, since a flipper is a better opening devices for my stubby fingers. My only complaint is that a lack of jimping on the frame lock makes it harder for me to close the knife. Of course, it's always "different strokes for different folks" and these are only my personal preferences and opinions. YMMV. Cálidad/ precio perfecto
Muy buen peso, la apertura asistida es genial, responde como la seda. El filo de fábrica ha venido increíblemente bien, pero no duró mucho, es un tipo de afilado que hace que al mínimo corte haya que retocar el filo. Lo que menos me ha gustado es que la hoja se mancha excesivamente con cualquier tipo de comida y no se puede limpiar.

Me enviaron otra navaja.
La navaja se ve de buena calidad pero no tiene nada que ver con la de la población del producto. Ahora a esperar el reembolso y ver si compro otra.. una pena.
