Quilters Dream Wool Batting Twin Size 72" x 93"

I used wool batting with a flannel quilt many years ago and my family would fight over it because the “sleepy quilt” was so warm and cozy. I just finished a cotton quilt with this wool batting and while finishing handwork the quilt was on my lap and definitely felt warm and cozy. I was expecting the batting to beard some but I didn’t experience much bearding at all. I will definitely use this batting again.

The product is not wool. I have used Quilters' Dream Wool batting purchased from fabric shops, and am very familiar with the product. I bought this from Amazon back in May of 2019, and just recently opened the package to use it and discovered that it must be some polyester-type material. It doesn't have the loft, smell, or feel of other wool batting from Quilters' Dream. Also, when testing it with a medium-hot iron, it melts. This is not what I ordered, or expected.

I am so very disappointed with this batting. I spent a lot of time and money to make chemo quilt for a friend. I washed the finished quilt in cold water and when I pulled it out of the washer there was batting all over. So much that I thought I missed a spot binding.. but nope I didn't. Somehow this batting was bearding like crazy. I have never had this happen before. I bought top shelf fabric for this quilt and I don't believe its a fabric issue. I don't think I will ever buy this brand again

I too am disappointed. Just washed and dried my quilt made with this batting according to the package directions and it was covered in batting. This is a very special quilt for a gift, and I researched a lot before choosing this wool. The longarmer said she loved working with it, but I now am left wondering if this quilt will continue to shed all over the recipient. Very unhappy after spending lots of time and money on this project. Does anybody else have info on this kind of experience?

I am so disappointed with this product. I have used wool in the past on my quilts and loved it. I recently made a quilt for a newborn gift. As always, prior to passing the labor of love on I washed the quilt and could not believe the bearding displayed. I spent hours trying to remove this with a lint brush to no avail. Research online had several suggested static cloth sheets, spraying with soaked static cloth... looks like I will need to make a new quilt, this one I may need to donate to a pet rescue group. Would love to hear from mfg!

It’s great for quilts thick, fluffy, warm

I had never used wool batting but I was quite happy. It sewed really easy on the long arm. It was also not to hot which I had feared.
