Great Purchase!
I am a personal trainer as well as a current student to become a comprehensive Pilates instructor. I bought this book to supplement my current knowledge since I have worked with several women who were either pregnant or postnatal. This book is very thorough and filled with valuable information and exercises. I'd highly recommend this book for women who are pregnant and fitness professionals who are looking to steer their pregnant and new-mommy clients in the right direction, health-wise.

Everything about pregnancy
This book is very complete book. There is everything prenatal and postnatal pilates, recovery exercises and risks. Perfect. Every cent worth .

An easy to read and follow pilates book for pregnancy.
If you are pregnant and want to stay in shape in a safe but effective way AND learn about what is happening to your body then this is the book for you. It does 2 things:1) explains what is happening to your body at every stage of pregnancy in easy to understand terms and2) provides exercises you can do at every stage of pregnancy with clear pictures and easy to follow directions.It is one of the better books - I have many, I teach pregnancy yoga - that goes into detail about the changes a woman's body goes through in pregnancy in simple to understand language. Pelvic floor, posture and diastasis recti are all explained. The changes that occur to your body in each trimester are looked at in detail so you know what is happening and why. There is also a chapter that covers the "fourth trimester" - the 3 months after giving birth - with appropriate and safe exercises. It is a book for both a first pregnancy and for second time pregnancy which has its own section. Did I mention appropriate and safe exercises with photos at each stage of pregnancy? All of this in easy to understand terms! Highly recommend it!

As a women's health physiotherapist I think this book is an amazing resource
This book is a clear and structured guide for women during pregnancy and also in the initial postnatal period. It is an amazing home guide for women who want to stay strong during pregnancy, especially those that are short of time.I use pilates with all of my patients and it really helps most pains and ailments that women encounter.There is a good balance of theory and practical throughout the book, with really clear images and descriptions to guide you through the exercises.

Brilliant, well written, full of knowledge.
I am a Pilates teacher and post-natal specialist and I LOVE this book! Anya’s knowledge is extensive, the amount she cares comes through with the depth of information she gives in this book. I give it to my pregnant clients so they can do safe and effective workouts and movements at home and so they can read all the brilliant extra stuff in there about what’s going on in your head, preparing for birth and recovering after. I highly recommend this book and all the others Anya has written.

Great book for all stages of pregnancy
Great book. I’ve done Pilates in the past and didn’t get on with pregnancy yoga classes, they seemed like a lot of money for what I could do at home. This book is really interesting and gives good explanations about each move and your body at each stage, as well as suggested workouts for each trimester. I can now make my own workouts at home. Would def recommend.

The opposite to a ‘snap back’ after birth book! Brilliant.
As a Pilates teacher I see so many mothers worrying about the changes happening post birth. I love the relatable way Anya writes, no pressure to ‘snap back’ just listening to your body and respecting its natural process. Brilliant.
