Review: Best Flat Iron Ever for Fine Hair - People with fine hair rejoice. Your quest is over! This flat iron is hands-down the best one Iโve ever used (and Iโve owned over 20). First, it has adjustable temperature, which is non-negotiable; 365 degrees and over is death for fine hair. Second, the plates touch each other w/o squeezing. Letโs face it, for us fine-haired folks, it doesnโt matter how great a flat iron is, if the plates donโt easily touch, itโs useless to us. Third, the plates are super smooth which is so important for fine, easily-broken hair. Fourth, it is *very* slim. Fifth, the taper factor! The flat iron itself is tapered AND the plates are tapered as well. It is not just slightly tapered either; I would go so far as to say that itโs a โrounded pointโ. Genius! This has been a game changer for me as it allows the flat iron to get extremely close to the root; something that no other flat iron has ever been able to do. I am finally able to straighten the frizzy hair around the nape of my neck and the very perimeter of my face, including the trendy fall out pieces in front of my ears when I wear a messy bun. Finally, the casing keeps the majority of the heat towards the plate side of the iron which permits me to get the iron THAT close to my scalp/root. All of those things working together have resulted in the Holy Grail and Mother of All Flat Irons (at least for my hair type and preferred styles). I sincerely hope it lasts for at least a couple of years (because itโs not cheap), but even if it doesnโt, Iโll buy another; itโs that great. Flat Iron mike-drop! Thanks Isa Professional. Review: nice straightener, gorgeous waves - had another brand for a few years which just one day didn't turn on, so thought I'd try something new. I liked the sleakness of this model & I also wanted something that could both straighten & curl. The straightener works well. If you have shorter bangs like me, its design is really good for those shorter sections of hair. What really impressed me big time about this item is the GORGEOUS curls that it makes. I mean, beautiful, like you just came from a photo shoot & you can get these results very quickly! And, the waves will last for days, sometimes not even needing a touch up. Really like this item a lot, and would definitely buy it again. I have also experimented with the different heat levels, which is a nice feature as well.

Red. Rounded. Flatiron.
I've only used this hair straightener for about 2 weeks. I'm rating it 5 stars (for now) and will follow up after I've had it 6 to 12 months if that should change. That said, I also loved my purple Remington flat iron that I paid less than $20 for. But the controls became unreliable on the Remington after about 5 years so I began my search for a new one. I decided, after a bit of research, to get a flat iron with titanium plates because I have keratin in my hair. Everything I've read about the best hair straighteners for keratin treated hair recommend titanium plates for their gentleness and straightening ability. I'm still not sure if this hair straightener is worth more than $100 but if it lasts for several years and keeps my hair healthy I suppose it will be worth it. My keratin hair stylist uses a Croc Titanium flatiron and my colorist swears by BaByliss Titanium. I like how this feels in my hands and the rounded top for curling. So far, so good!

I'm disappointed with my purchase
I'd been using a cheap flat iron for far too long and it was time to upgrade to something that wouldn't damage my hair each time I use it. I could barely use it since my (fine & thin) hair gets caught in the edges of the end of the iron every time which hurts and pulls my hair out. This makes straightening or curling my hair with it nearly impossible without yanking out multiple strands of hair with each clamp down...not what I expected for the price. I'm sadly disappointed with my purchase. I just donated this straightener and went back to my cheap one, total waste of money :(

Great flat iron except for the hair pulling
For the most part, I like this flat iron. It's solidly built, it heats quickly, and it flattens hair in a short amount of time. The only problem is that the pointed end catches hair between the titanium plate and the casing and pulls it out. Each time I use it, there are 4-5 strands stuck in there. One might be able to prevent this by clipping up any hair that isn't being targeted with the flat iron. However, if you're like me, you're in too much of a hurry to do this and just want to stick the iron in and flatten out any bumps. Whenever you do this, you get your hair pulled.

I LOVE this straightener
I LOVE this straightener. I will start by saying I have been using a Chi for the past 10+ years, and as it's been very good to me, it started to pull my hair out so I decided it was time to put it to rest. I read reviews about the ISA and was nervous of the unknown b/c it was a bit on the expensive side, but I am so glad I took a gamble! This straightener glides over my hair and straightens in no time. I have thick, wavy hair so managing my hair can take some time, but this product delivered. It also has a great design to make it easy to make a cute little curl at the end of my hair. Very happy w this purchase.

disappointing
This flat iron is not at all worth the money. It is no better than a cheap-o drugstore brand. I have thick, naturally curly hair, so a quality flat iron is a requirement. It usually takes me 20 minutes to do my hair, but this tool literally took double the time. I do not have 40 minutes to waste doing my hair! I had two main issues with this flat iron. The biggest problem is that the plates do not match up completely (see photo #1, sorry it's not properly focused). The plates only touch at the very end; the rest of the way down there is a big gap. This meant I could only do *very* small sections of hair at a time, or part of it would not be straightened because the plates were loose. Second, the plates stop a good half-inch from the tip of the iron (photo #2), so hair would slip past the plate and not get straightened. Both these issues meant I had to go over sections multiple times to get the desired result. The pointy tip gives the impression that it would be useful to get to the finer, shorter baby hairs around your face, but because the plate is so far back it actually makes it impossible to get those bits of hair. This thing is junk and it goes back today.

Isa Titanium = Five Stars
Fantastic iron! The tapered design facilitates getting close to the roots and allows you to curl or flip ends if desired. Heats up quickly and has an automatic shut off feature, which should be mandatory. If a company is willing to scrimp on that safety feature, what does that tell you? Isa professional cares about their customers and is dedicated to a superior product. I researched irons extensively before selecting their titanium gem! I'm very satisfied with my purchase and if you are deliberating, you should add this to your cart and click buy. Your hair will look fabulous and if you have any concerns the excellent customer service and warrantee will make everything better.

I like it but for the price it`s dated
I like it but for the price it`s dated. Glossy surface will have scratches pretty soon, product is heavy, doesn`t have auto shut-off and any lock at all. Overall all stuff is made in China this days but Lovani brand offers more features for 3 times less.
