They are contoured like the mask about half circular with port holes. I had to bunch the filter up a bit to get it in one of my masks and it was a perfect fit for another. The masks are cut different but all the pictures of the filters I’ve seen look exactly alike so I’m not sure if you will get any that are cut different from different vendors. I’m betting they all come from the same manufacturer. **Q: Hi, is the filter washable or are there replacements available?** A: I’ve seen where some people have washed the filter but I haven’t tried it. If you search Zanfun filter you will get several results and order a few exhaust ports also. The masks are cut different so you might have to bunch them up to get the ports to fit the holes. One of my masks they fit perfectly and the other has to be worked in but it works fine. You want exhaust ports with the silicone flap as the ones with filters don’t cover the holes and allow unfiltered air in and out making them useless. **Q: What are the compatible filter and valve to this mask?** A: The filter is a layer of cotton that can effectively protect against dust. The valve is a model on a filter cotton that comes with the mask. **Q: What is the filter type** A: Search Zanfun and you will get several options they are about half circular with holes for the exhaust port. Look for m2.5 as the filters that came with all the masks I bought weren’t. Definitely order replacements if they don’t come with them as well as a few exhaust ports. Don’t order the exhaust with a filter you want the ones with the silicone flap that closes off when you inhale. I got this one because of the mesh on the side instead of the full neoprene so that it would hopefully be a little cooler since it does make you sweat if you are in the heat. I sweat when everyone else is comfortable but inside I haven’t had issues sweating in the first mask unless I’m very active. I haven’t had any issues with my glasses fogging up with either of them as it does seal well.The vent however on this mask has a filter in it where the other has a valve and the first thing I noticed is the filter doesn’t seal and you can see right in through it. I swapped it with the valve type and they seal when you inhale and only open when you exhale. Someone said don’t buy them they allow unfiltered air out when you exhale but why do you think your glasses are fogging over? When you exhale unfiltered exhaust goes up under the mask and causes you glasses to fog.I have also seen a lot of people saying they’re too small for their face but both of mine fit fine. The first one I bought hurt my nose until I moved it higher on my nose and played with the strap position and I haven’t had any discomfort since. I would suggest buying more filters and extra valves that’s how I was able to replace the filter valve on this one and the filter that comes with it is very flimsy compared to the replacements. I don’t think it was even pm2.5 as the replacements I bought are.Overall I like these so much better than cloth masks and my ears love me again. I have ordered another like these but the are not neoprene. They are a breathable cloth so it should vent through the whole filter and not just the slots cut out in the neoprene. I was really looking forward to getting this mask, however it is a little small on my face. I also hoped the vents would help with keeping my glasses fog up. They do seem to help a little, but my glasses still fog up. This could be because it’s a bit small and doesn’t fit my face properly. I will give to one of my family members to use.
