Slide Racker for Ruger 22/45 & MKIII, Black

Tactical Solutions Slide Racker for Ruger 22/45 is relatively low cost and works well. Easy to install. I have a full size scope for silhouette shooting. Now racking the slide is much easier. It is plastic, but seems strong enough.

1. Asymmetric cocking lever causes partial binding of bolt when pulled......poor design2. Choice of plastic leads, with use, to dimension shift and failure to function reliably......poor design3. unreliable add-on means unreliable firearm... not acceptable.There are other cocking enhancement accessories on the market. I have one: metal alloy construction, center line pull; reliable function.

Product seemed to be cast molded out of a sturdy plastic. It was a very tight fit but this might very. I had to take a brass hammer to it to get it on but once I got it on and used a knife to clean up the smushed plastic (I was smacking it with some force, the plastic is quite strong). I wish it had better quality but honestly, once I went through the hassle of installing it, I was quite happy with it.

I'm 88 & had to renew my concealed carry permit & target shoot with an injured hand. Works great, fits well & for the price if it wears loose, all you cheap skates - just buy another. About a 10 second install. One twist removal when hand heals. Robert in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Awesome product. Makes racking the bolt much easier for those who have problems with their grip. Gave one to a friend who had a stoke and now he can shoot his pistol despite being paralyzed down one arm. I bought one for myself because it makes racking the bolt so much easier, and quicker, than without one.Only problem is if you take it off and put it on a few times it may come off unexpectedly. I added some glue to hold it in place and it works perfectly now.

It's great if you can get the thing installed. Ive got one on my ruger mkiv target and how I got installed I dont know. They do not go on as easily as suggested. I recently got one for my ruger 22/45 and I have yet to get installed. The other problem with it is the hook portion digs into your side sometimes when carrying the pistol on your hip. But it's definetly easy to rack the bolt if you ever get it installed.

I have used this for about 2000 rounds worth so far. I love the shape and design. turning your mark 4 into a side charge is a great thing but the plastic that this is made out of will wear away eventually making it loose and eventually pull off when you rack your bolt. I would like to see this made out of stronger material I guess for the money its ok but as everyone knows with fire arms you throw enough money at ammo when you want to shoot you shouldn't have to keep ordering parts as well.

Solves the problem of having a hard time actuating the bolt on Ruger 22/45 Lite. Also works great in conjunction with the slingshot modification! Priced much better than the other design of slide racker, and is easier to use. My wife can actually use the gun with this modification. The only minor drawback is that it can rotate on the bolt. I haven't had it pop off yet though..
