It has plenty of hooks for many coats, book bags, hats and more. Since we've gotten this, I have tasked my four-year-old with hanging up her and her younger brother's coats, and I have him put away their shoes. There was one or two cracked pieces, but one must understand to place a screw into wood, sometimes the wood may split. It does not take away from the structural integrity of the rack and kids will never notice especially when items are hung on the hooks. The rack was easy to assemble and looks good in our foyer. We LOVE this coat rack and look forward to it lasting for many years to come.
